<text>Hypertension is a major cause of premature death worldwide. Some complementary health approaches are
showing promise to lowering blood pressure, one of which is progressive muscle relaxation (PMR). This
study aimed to determine the effectiveness od progressive muscle relaxation as complementary therapy in
managing blood pressure among adult with hypertension. This was a quasi-experimental design with pre
and post-test with control group approach. Stratified random sampling was done to determine the research
area, followed by purposive sampling to recruit the respondents. Sample size was calculated using G-Power
analysis. There were 62 respondents for intervention group and 60 respondents for control group. After 12
sessions of PMR in six days, there was a decreased systolic blood pressure to 29.9 mmHg and diastolic
blood pressure to 14.7mmHg. PMR significantly decreased systolic and diastolic blood pressure among
adult with hypertension. PMR as complementary therapy could be combined with pharmacological therapy
to help ensure a maximum decrease in blood pressure.</text>

elderly around liliba RT 41/RW001. Method: This type of research is descriptive, the number of respondents

who are willing to participate in this study is 55 people by signing an informed consent. The data were
obtained by examining cholesterol levels using the POCT method, as well as consumption patterns and
physical activity which were measured using a questionnaire. Results: The results showed that Cholesterol
levels that consumed high-fat foods were found more in respondents who often consumed fatty foods with
normal cholesterol levels of 18 people (32.7%), a high threshold of 10 people (18.2%), and high cholesterol
levels of 8 people (14.5%) ). Cholesterol levels who rarely consumed meat with high cholesterol were 9
people (16.4%), and high-limit cholesterol levels were 11 people (20.0%). Cholesterol levels of respondents
who had sleep duration of 6-8 hours with high cholesterol levels were 6 people (10.9%), normal cholesterol
levels were 15 people (27.3%), and high limit cholesterol levels were 9 people (16.4%). Cholesterol levels
of respondents who did not carry out health checks who had high cholesterol levels were 7 people (12.7%),
normal cholesterol levels were 23 people (41.3%), and high limits were 19 people (34.5%). abnormal uric
acid levels in 19 (34.5%) respondents. The highest uric acid levels were obtained at the age of 45-49 years
(41.8%). Most abnormal uric acid levels were found in women, 12 people (21.8%). Abnormal uric acid
levels were most common in respondents who consumed high-purine foods (21.8%), consumed meat
(12.7%), and who always consumed high-purine vegetables (10.9%). Abnormal uric acid levels were most
common in respondents who had never done strenuous physical activity as many as 13 people (23.6%),
while in respondents who always did light physical activity uric acid levels were not normal as many as 15
people. In this study, it was found that 32.8% of respondents who had high uric acid levels had never had
regular health checks. Conclusions: . The levels of uric acid and cholesterol in the elderly in Liliba Village
RT 41/RW 001 based on age and gender, namely abnormal uric acid levels, were most commonly found in
the 45-59 year age category of 10 people (18.2%) and in female as many as 12 people (21.8%). Based on
age and gender, the highest cholesterol level was found in the 45-59 year age category, which was mostly
found in women with normal cholesterol levels, 9 people (16.4%), high threshold, 10 people (18.2%), while
high cholesterol levels as many as 4 people (7.3%).</text>

<text>Metabolic syndrome is a threat to health problems in the world, namely a group of metabolic disorders that occur
simultaneously. Obesity is a risk factor for metabolic syndrome. Fat accumulation causes insulin resistance and leptin
resistance resulting in weight gain. Tali bamboo leaf tea contains a natural source of antioxidants that can increase
insulin sensitivity so that it can reduce leptin levels. This study aims to determine the effect of bamboo1tali leaf tea on
leptin levels in rats with metabolic syndrome. This type of research is experimental laboratoric with a Pre-Post Test
with a Control Group design. Wistar male white rats, 8 weeks old, and 150 – 250 grams in weight, were fed HFHF
(High Fat High Fructose) for 14 days, induced by Nicotinamide and Streptozotocin. Then, the rats were divided into 5
groups, namely negative control, positive control, and 3 treatments of tali bamboo leaf tea (300, 600, and 900 mg/200
g BW) for 28 days. Measurement of leptin levels using the ELISA method.Bamboo leaf tea had a significant effect (p
<0.005) on leptin levels in rats with metabolic syndrome. The largest decrease in leptin levels occurred in the TDB3
group which was 82.8% and the lowest decrease in leptin levels occurred in the TDB1 group which was 34.8%.
Bamboo leaf tea doses of 300, 600, and 900 mg/200 g BW reduced leptin levels in rats with metabolic syndrome for
28 days.</text>

and metformin on the abundance of lactic acid bacteria and Escherichia coli in a rat model of diabetes
mellitus. The research design is experimental with a post-test only. Male Wistar rats were divided into six
groups; healthy rats (KS), DM rats (K-), DM+metformin rats (K+), DM+metformin+1 mL pumpkin soygurt
rats (P1), DM+metformin+ 1.5 mL pumpkin soygurt rats (P2), DM + metformin + 2 mL of pumpkin soygurt
(P3) rats. The test material was given for four weeks. The abundance of LAB and Escherichia coli was
analyzed using a sample of the contents of the cecum with the method total plate count. Data were analyzed
using the One way ANOVA test. This study showed a dysbiosis condition on K- (BAL 6.85 CFU/mL;
Escherichia coli 8.80 CFU/mL) dan K+ (BAL 4,99 CFU/ml; Escherichia coli 7.67 CFU/mL). In the
treatment group, eubiotics were maintained, with the best conditions in group P2 with a BAL of 7.46

<text>The compounds contained in Moringa leaves are rich in phenolic acids, flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins,
glucosinolates and isothiocyanates, all of which are antioxidants. Moringa leaves contain B2 which is useful
for treating and maintaining skin moisture. Pineapple fruit contains vitamin C and vitamin A, the second
vitamin is known to have antioxidant activity that can stop the reaction of forming free radicals. Moringa
leaves and pineapple contain antioxidant compounds which are useful as skin moisturizers which are
formulated in the form of a gel lotion. This study aims to determine the effect of using moringa leaf extract
gel lotion and pineapple fruit on skin moisture. This study was initiated by formulating lotion preparations
with the addition of concentrations of moringa leaf extract and pineapple fruit, namely concentrations of
3% (F1) 4% (F2) 5% (F3). Lotion gel was evaluated for physical stability by testing pH, viscosity, adhesion,
spreadability, irritation test, specific gravity test and skin moisture test. This study uses an experimental
method. The results showed that the formula concentrations of 3%, 4% and 5% all met the requirements of
the physical stability test as a skin moisturizing lotion gel preparation. The higher the concentration of the
extract, the wider the spreadability and viscosity value obtained, has no effect on adhesion and pH value.

<text>Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as kidney impairment or reduced estimated glomerular filtration
rate (eGFR). The prevalence grows over time. A progressive decrease in kidney function eventually
necessitates renal replacement therapy (dialysis or transplantation). Appropriate treatment determines the
clinical outcome. One of them is the dietary approach. This review aims to gather evidence of the potential
of probiotics to delay CKD damage progression. This scoping review followed the Preferred Reporting
Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) checklist.
The review gathers publications from four databases and synthesizes them as evidence. Were 357
publications found, three of which matched the inclusion criteria and were evaluated. The article's synthesis
results reveal that probiotics suppress intestinal dysbiosis. These beneficial complicated processes make
significant contributions. Thereby, the worsening of renal disease is prevented. Based on the findings, it was
concluded that the probiotic positively affected the clinical outcomes of chronic kidney disease.</text>

<text>Intense physical exercise can increase lactic acid levels in the blood as a result of the anaerobic metabolism
that occurs at that time. The impact of increased levels of lactic acid includes the occurrence of acidosis,
damage to body cells, and fatigue which reduces muscle performance. Antioxidants can play a role in
preventing body fatigue caused by oxidative stress. Onion Dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia) is a type of
medicinal plant that is useful for health. The high content of antioxidants in Dayak onions can be used as an
alternative anti-fatigue ingredient. This study aimed to look at the effect of the dose and duration of Dayak
onion extract on lactic acid levels and physical activity in mice forced swimming test models. Type of
Research Randomized Pre and Post-Test Control Group Design. Male White Mice (Sprague Dawley) 2
months old (weight 150-200g). Divided into 5 groups K- (the experimental group was not given Dayak
onion extract, they were still given FST), K+ (the experimental group was given xanthine and FST), P1
(given Dayak onion extract at a dose of 50mg/200gBW), P2 (given the extract onion Dayak dose of
100mg/200gBB), P3 (given onion extract dose of 200mg/200gBW). Dayak onion extract was given for 28
days and given the forced swimming test, then the changes in lactic acid and physical activity endurance in
swimming were observed.</text>
