provide assistance during labor is giving early initiate breastfeeding. However, not all babies are
given an IMD and not all health workers do this. The causes are the lack of motivation of
health workers in implementing early initiation of breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to
determine the motivation of health workers in implementation early initiation of breastfeeding at
RSUD Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal. The research design used is quantitative with descriptive methods.
The sample in this study amounted to 28 respondents with a total sampling technique. Instruments in
the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis uses univariate. The results showed that the motivation of
health workers in implementing Early Breastfeeding Initiation was in the "medium" category as much
as 57.1%. Intrinsic motivation of health workers in the implementation of early breastfeeding
initiation is mostly done, namely happy when the IMD is successful. Extrinsic motivation of health
workers in the implementation of early breastfeeding initiation is mostly done by conducting IMD
because there is a policy from the government. This research is expected to be used as input for
health workers, especially midwives, in increasing motivation to provide early breastfeeding
initiation.</text>

<text>Chronic renal failure is a disease caused by a prolonged decline in kidney function. One of the
treatments performed by patients with chronic kidney failure is hemodialysis therapy. Hemodialysis
therapy is carried out continuously and may result in patient psychosocial pressure. Coping
mechanisms are adaptive and maladaptive. Adaptive coping mechanisms are needed by patients with
chronic renal failure to improve compilance to hemodialysis therapy. The purpose of this study was to
determine the relationship between coping mechanisms and compilance to hemodialysis therapy in
chronic renal failure in the Hemodialysis Room of RSUD RA. Kartini Jepara. This research was
quantitative research using cross sectional apporach. This research was conducted on 42 samples
using purposive sampling technique. Processing data using the Spearman Rank correlation test.
Results this research, respondents who had adaptive coping mechanisms were 41 people (97.6%), 1
person (2.4%) had maladaptive coping mechanisms. Respondents who were obedient in undergoing
hemodialysis were 38 people (90.5%) and 4 people who were not compliant (9.5%). The statistics test
results p value = 0,001 and Tcount = 0,481. Conclusion, Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected that
means that there was a relationship between coping mechanisms and compliance with hemodialysis
therapy in patients with chronic renal failure in the Hemodialysis Room of RSUD RA. Kartini Jepara.</text>

<text>10,34% of the population of Central Java Province are the elderly people. The increasing number of
the elderly people results in the indirect negative impact on the famies values which influence the drop
of the elderly people’s welfare, lack of their role and status in the families, and loss of supports from
their families. This research aims to explore the levels of the social functions of their families in which
the elderly people live in Kedungsuren Village seen from the points of views of adaptation,
partnership, growth, affection, and resolve. This research was conducted with the domain of
quantitative design with a descriptive survey method. The total sampling technique was applied to 82
respondents. The instrument in the data collection was an APGAR family questionnaire. This research
used a univariate analysis. The results of the research show that 61 respondents(74,4%), with whom
the elderly people live, had less-healthy living conditions while 49 respondents (59,8%) were
sometimes satisfied with social function adaptation. Similarly, 44 respondents (53,7%) were
sometimes satisfied with the partnership of social functions and 35 respondents (42,7%) were always
satisfied with the growth of social functions. 50 respondents (61,0%) were always satisfied with the
affection of social functions. In addition, 72 respondents (87,8%) were always satisfied with the
resolve of social functions. The families are expected to be able to improve communication, supports,
and attention given to the elderly people in order to improve the families’ and the elderly people’s
social functions. The level of social function of families living with the elderly in Kedungsuren
Village is dominated by the level of unhealthy social function.</text>
