High level of cholesterol will caused various diseases, especially cardiovascular diseases (heart and blood vessels) such as stroke, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, pancreatitis, diabetes mellitus,
thyroid disorders, liver disease, and kidney disease. Ergonomic gymnastics caould be prevent many things of disease, which on is disease caused by cholesterol. Ergonomic exercise could be help increase High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and decrease Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL). This study aims to determine change on blood cholesterol levels after ergonomic exercise in the elderly. The design of this research was a quantitative pre-experimental using one group pretest posttest design. The samples in this research were 15 respondents. Sampling in this research by non-probability using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by bivariate analysis to determine differences in blood cholesterol levels before and after ergonomic exercise. Paired statistical test results showed that there was an effect of ergonomic exercise on total cholesterol levels in elderly in Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Teratai
Palembang with p value = 0,000 (p <0.05). The average cholesterol level before and after ergonomic exercise is 205.80 mg/dL and 200.40 mg/dL. Differences in cholesterol levels before and after gymnastics by 5.4 mg/dL. Researchers hoped that ergonomic exercise can be applied every day for 2-3 times/week to decreased cholesterol levels. </text>

Cholesterol is one component of fat. Cholesterol levels in the blood are an indication for physical health. Depletion of cholesterol in blood vessels can cause narrowing of blood vessels which is one of the causes
of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease due to atherosclerosis of blood vessel walls and thrombosis are the main causes of death in the world. Generally, measurements of blood cholesterol levels are carried out through invasive procedures by taking blood samples from the body. Although it is more accurate, the invasive procedure is quite painful and can cause phobias for some people. The development of technology to measure blood cholesterol levels in a non-invasive way can be an
alternative to these problems. This research was conducted as experimental design to analise a prototype measuring for blood cholesterol levels in a non-invasive procedure conducted by Masisoha (2019). This device was designed to be able to detect cholesterol levels in the blood through the use of infrared light and measurements are made in real time. The results of experiments showed that the accuracy of the sensor work within 30 seconds of detection was 82.28%. The results of the comparative test using the Mann Whitney test between non-invasive real time measuring devices and invasive instruments obtained a significance value of 0.082.There was no difference in value between blood cholesterol levels measured using an invasive device and a non-invasive real time measuring device.</text>
