Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease which occurs because the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or the body cannot effectively use the insulin which it produces. There are four pillars of DM treatment, one of which is food diet restrictions for people with DM. The purpose of this study was to develop a nutritional need measurement tool for DM patients with Android-based, so it was expected to help patients in controlling blood sugar levels. This study used Research and Development (R&D) method. The result of this study was in the form of a measurement tool of nutritional needs in patients with diabetes which is based on Android. According to the results of this measurement tool, the average
differences between manual calculation and Android calculation on caloric requirements were 0.124, carbohydrate 0.084, protein 0.038, and average fat difference 0.14. It is expected that DM patients are able to use this tool to meet nutritional needs and adhere to the diet program. </text>

Cholesterol is one component of fat. Cholesterol levels in the blood are an indication for physical health. Depletion of cholesterol in blood vessels can cause narrowing of blood vessels which is one of the causes
of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease due to atherosclerosis of blood vessel walls and thrombosis are the main causes of death in the world. Generally, measurements of blood cholesterol levels are carried out through invasive procedures by taking blood samples from the body. Although it is more accurate, the invasive procedure is quite painful and can cause phobias for some people. The development of technology to measure blood cholesterol levels in a non-invasive way can be an
alternative to these problems. This research was conducted as experimental design to analise a prototype measuring for blood cholesterol levels in a non-invasive procedure conducted by Masisoha (2019). This device was designed to be able to detect cholesterol levels in the blood through the use of infrared light and measurements are made in real time. The results of experiments showed that the accuracy of the sensor work within 30 seconds of detection was 82.28%. The results of the comparative test using the Mann Whitney test between non-invasive real time measuring devices and invasive instruments obtained a significance value of 0.082.There was no difference in value between blood cholesterol levels measured using an invasive device and a non-invasive real time measuring device.</text>
