Due to the large size of the image, the process of identifying the image requires a great time, which in turn leads us to extract some characteristics of the magnitude of the volume, which can be used as an identifier to retrieve the image or recognize it and thus we have devoted a lot of time to identify the image. In this research paper, a modified symmetric local binary pattern (MSLBP) method was proposed to extract texture features. The proposed algorithm was implemented on many digital fingerprint’s images and the local structure features of these images were obtained. Several image recognition experiments are conducted on these features and compared with other algorithms. The results of the proposed algorithm showed that the digital image was represented in a very small size and furthermore the speed and accuracy of image recognition based on the proposed method was increased significantly. Unlike the methods based on LBP, the proposed method gives the same features of the image even if the image was rotated with any angle. The results are validated though adapted IEEE-30 bus test system, which is incorporated with wind and solar generating plants. The proposed structure will operate in two notch bands 3.3-4 GHz (Wi-MAX), 5.05-5.9 GHz (WLAN) and the structure is suitable for long distance communications because of its increased directivity. The structure can also be used for X-Band applications for various applications of traffic control, weather forecasting and vehicle speed detection systems. It is observed that, the proposed structure is offering a gain of 5.2 dBi with improved directivity with a beam width of 42.230 . This makes the antenna structure suitable for long distance satellite communications. The antenna is supporting the circular polarization at higher the frequencies and can be useful for the upcoming 5G mobile applications. Moreover, the proposed structure offers the less interference at the receiver. The structure is found to be smaller in dimensions, easily fabricated at low costs and can be integrated into any compact wireless devices. In addition, when a room is difficult to reach, maps can provide information that is helpful to humans. In this study, an omni-directional mobile robot equipped with a LiDAR sensor has been developed for 2D mapping a room. The YDLiDAR X4 sensor is used as an indoor scanner. Raspberry Pi 3 B single board computer (SBC) is used to access LiDAR data and then send it to a computer wirelessly for processing into a map. This computer and SBC are integrated in robot operating system (ROS). The movement of the robot can use manual control or automatic navigation to explore the room. The Hector SLAM algorithm determines the position of the robot based on scan matching of the LiDAR data. The LiDAR data will be used to determine the obstacles encountered by the robot. These obstacles will be represented in occupancy grid mapping. The experimental results show that the robot is able to follow the wall using PID control. The robot can move automatically to construct maps of the actual room with an error rate of 4.59%. The improved algorithm is based on genetic algorithm (GA) and adaptive optics approach (OA). It is implemented in a computer simulation model called object-oriented matlab adaptive optics (OOMAO). The optimisation process involves best possible GA parameters as a function of population size, iteration count, and the actuators’ voltage intervals. Results show that the application of GA improves the performance of AO in wave-front corrections and the communication between satellite-to-ground laser links as well.
