<text>This paper introduces the accurate identification of harmonic sources in
the power distribution system using time-frequency distribution (TFD)
analysis, which is S-transform. The S-transform is a very applicable method to represent signals parameters in time-frequency representation (TFR) such as TFR impedance (ZTFR) and the main advantages of S-transform it can provide better frequency resolution for low frequency components and also offers better time resolution for high-frequency components. The identification of multiple harmonic sources are based on the significant relationship of spectral impedances (ZS) that extracted from the ZTFR, consist of the fundamental impedance (Z1) and harmonic impedance (Zh). To verify the accuracy of the proposed method, MATLAB simulations carried out several unique cases on IEEE 4-bus test feeder cases. It is proven that the proposed method is superior, with 100% correct identification of harmonic source location. It is proven that the method is accurate, fast and cost-efficient
to localize harmonic sources in the power distribution system. </text>

<text>We present a new image compression method to improve visual perception of the decompressed images and achieve higher image compression ratio. This method balances between the compression rate and image quality by compressing the essential parts of the image-edges. The key subject/edge is of more significance than background/non-edge image. Taking into consideration the value of image components and the effect of smoothness in image compression, this method classifies the image components as edge or non-edge. Low-quality lossy compression is applied to non-edge components whereas high-quality lossy compression is applied to edge components. Outcomes show that our suggested method is efficient in terms of compression ratio, bits per-pixel and peak signal to noise ratio. </text>

presents various types of SiNWT structures, development of SiNWT
properties and different applications until nowadays. This research provides a good comparison among fabrication technologies of SiNWTs depending on a new factor DIF, this factor depends on the size of channel and power consumption in channel. As a result of this comparison, the best technology to use in the future to fabricate silicon nano transistors for future ICs is AFM nanolithography. </text>

and continues to grow since they have kinds potential applications such
as wavelength filtering, switching, coupling and multiplexing. One of
resonators, coupled waveguides, ring resonators are designed and operated using various coupling configurations. Ring resonators can be particularly used as wavelength filter if the wavelength can fit a whole multiple time in the circumference of the ring. This article proposes to investigate the transmission spectra from the power source and amplify it in linearized ring resonator configurations and varies the input amplitude on five different wavelengths. With finite difference time domain method, the geometry and power source are simulated to obtain the better result and configuration. The results show the intensity phenomena of filtering in optical circuit </text>

<text>As technology scaling increases computer memory’s bit-cell density and
reduces the voltage of semiconductors, the number of soft errors due to
radiation induced single event upsets (SEU) and multi-bit upsets (MBU) also increases. To address this, error-correcting codes (ECC) can be used to detect and correct soft errors, while x-modular-redundancy improves fault tolerance. This paper presents a technique that provides high error-correction performance, high speed, and low complexity. The proposed technique ensures that only correct values get passed to the system output or are processed in spite of the presence of up to three-bit errors. The Hamming code is modified in order to provide a high probability of MBU detection. In addition, the paper describes the new technique and associated analysis scheme for its implementation. The new technique has been simulated. evaluated, and compared to error correction codes with similar decoding complexity to better understand the overheads required, the gained capabilities to protect data against three-bit errors, and to reduce the misdetection probability and false-detection probability of four-bit errors. </text>

<text>Wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of distributed nodes deployed
for monitoring the physical conditions and organizing collected data at
the central control unit. Power consumption is the challenges in WSN as
the network consists of wireless sensor nodes becomes denser. By utilizing WSN and visible light technology, a simple health monitoring system design can be approached that are smaller in size, faster and lower power consumption. This work focuses on design a low power optical wake-up receiver to reduce the energy consumption of each node in WSN. A wake-up receiver is designed to be always-on for detecting incoming signal and switches on the stand by protocol controller and WSN network for data transmission process. The characteristic of optical transmission and functional circuit of a wake-up receiver has been investigated. A low power optical Awake-up receiver has been designed in 180nm Silterra CMOS process technology. The proposed wake-up receiver consumes only 443pW in standby mode and 1.89nW in active mode. The proposed optical wake-up receiver drastically reduces the power consumption by more than one third compared to other wake-up receivers which could be a milestone in the medical field if successfully conducted. </text>

<text>In this paper, we introduce two types of hybridization. The first contribution is the hybridization between the Viterbi algorithm and Baum Welch in order to predict crime locations. While the second contribution considers the optimization based on decision tree (DT) in combination with the Viterbi algorithm for criminal identification using Iraq and India crime dataset. This work is based on our previous work [1]. The main goal is to enhance the results of the model in both consuming times and to get a more accurate model. The obtained results proved the achievement of both goals in an efficient way. </text>

<text>The WLEDs configuration with remote phosphor layers has higher
luminescent performance than WLEDs with dispense coating or conformal coating and is applied for many modern devices. However, managing the chromatic performance of lighting structure with remote phosphor materials is a challenging objective that demands more research. This has inspired the usage of multi phosphor configurations with distance in between the layers to improve color quality. The results of this manuscript can support the manufacturers in choosing the optimal configuration for optical performance in LEDs devices with more than one phosphor material. The simulated model used in the experments is 6500 K CCT WLEDs, which results show the triple-layers structure is more favorable in terms of color quality and light output. Besides, a notable reduction occurs in color deviation means that chromatic stability is also enhanced in WLEDs with three phosphor layers. Through experimental results, which were confirmed by the Mie-scattering theory, this research offers valuable approach and details to produce better WLEDs. </text>

<text>In this paper, the experiments on phosphor-converted LEDs (pc-LEDs) with a correlated color temperature (CCT) of 8500K has been conducted with the scattering enhancement particles (SEPs) to achieve the higher color uniformity and emitted luminous flux of pc-LEDs. Moreover, this paper also introduced about choosing scattering enhancement particles (SEPs), including calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and titania (TiO2), and compared these particles’ properties by adding them into the yellow Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ phosphor compounding. Afterward, the LightTools program was applied to illustrate the optical simulation, and obtained results was analyzed and verified by applying the Mie-scattering theory. The scattering coefficients, the anisotropic scattering, the reduced scattering, and the scattering amplitudes at 455 nm and 595 nm are included in the scattering computation of SEPs. According to researched results, among the SEPs, TiO2 particles result in the highest value of color uniformity. However, a rise in their concentration is the cause of a sharp decline in luminous flux. Meanwhile, CaCO3 particles show the ability of reducing the deviated level in correlated color temperature by 620K if there is employed 30% of CaCO3 concentration. Hence, CaCO3 particles are the recommendation for achieving higher chromatic homogeneity and lumen output. </text>
