<text>This paper presents the design of a genetic algorithm (GA) based full order state observer for a compressor system. The observer measures the
compressor system parameters and computes the difference between the measured output and the setpoint, which is used as feedback to the active
surge controller. The proposed control structure with a GA tuned compressor characteristic is required to minimize system oscillations and energy losses induced by the piston actuation gas recycling technique. The design method for GA based full order observer begins with a state observer modelling, observer error estimation based on the magnitude of fluid friction and
mechanical effects on measured parameters. The aim of the controller is to regulate the compressor driver speed such that the measured output achieves its required set point. In order to achieve a maximum compressor operating capacity, the compressor characteristics were optimized using GA, where the mass flow was maximized to improve the compressor efficiency. Simulations were carried out, and results showed the viability of GA based
full order state observer compared with the piston actuation recycle method to control active surge in centrifugal compressor systems.

<text>Electric potential energy or kinetic energy produces electrical energy. The integration of electrical current and potential yields the energy that is
deliverable to the end user via electrical circuitries. There are various techniques used to produce electric energy. Typically, electricity is generated by using fossil fuels or natural gas. However, these resources are facing the extinction problem. Thus, another established method to generate electricity is by using water flow pressure in hydroelectric station. This work presents a model of small electrical generator developed based on the theory
of pressure yielded by water stream. The development of conventional hydroelectric generator station destroyed the nature environment and caused the death of animal, especially in the water. Therefore, a turbine in a
spherical shape that is integrated with microcontroller is suggested in this work with external passage that is attached to the turbine to reduce the catastrophic effect to the aquamarine and nature. The analysis is conducted on the different material while designing the basin, size of basin radius and the structure of model outlet inlet. The results show that the turbine that is designed by using polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with 10 cm radius produced higher voltage at 5.8 V compared to the other types of basin material and radius</text>

accurate home automation system which guides against the issues of energy wastage and excessive expenditure on the present systems of the utility
company and the consumers. The system deploys a 32-bit ESP8266 system on chip (SoC) wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) module which is linked to some
sensors through a microcontroller for data communication. User friendly remote access, operation and management of the system are achieved through a mobile/web graphic user interface application. Daniel hall of students’ residence at Covenant University is the location chosen for the deployment of prototype designed, the overall system achieved approximately 17% savings in energy consumption which in turn reduces the cost of energy usage for the same comform level. </text>

<text>Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is a modern technology that has received great attention in the modern era due to daily road accidents. In VANET network it is difficult to design effective routing protocols due to the speed of movement of nodes and the rapid change in network architecture, and the purpose of routing protocols in the VANET network is to route data between vehicles (V2V), and between vehicles to infrastructure (V2I). Recently researchers have been interested in designing effective routing protocols for the VANET network because not all existing protocols
are suitable for all traffic scenarios. Therefore, the focus of this paper will be on the maximum distance on-demand routing algorithm (MDORA) protocol
and work on improving the protocol algorithm so that it is compatible with the urban environment. After that, the improved performance of the
MDORA-without direction (MDORA-WD) protocol will be compared with the ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) protocol in terms of
communication overhead, packet delivery ratio (PDR) and end to end (E2E) delay. The protocols will be simulated by MATLAB </text>

<text>Robotic maze pathfinding problems deal with detecting the correct route from the start point to the end-point in a virtual maze environment consisting of walls. Automated robot mobility is a significant feature, which enables a mobile robot to traverse a maze independently, from one position to another, without human intervention. There is a myriad of autonomous industrial mobile robot applications, including the transportation of goods and parts, domestic cleaning, indoor security surveillance, airport baggage couriering, and a plethora of other applications to traverse dangerous locations. This paper proposes a pathfinding mobile robot in a virtual maze based on a combination of a simplified left-hand algorithm and a line-following control algorithm. The mobile robot works in any maze to determine a route from
the initial starting point to the end-point. The approach outlined in this paper uses a left-hand algorithm to solve the maze problem and a line-follower control algorithm to enable the robot to move in a straight line through the virtual maze. The algorithm used is less complicated and prevents the robot from falling into infinity loops compared to the traditional wall-follower algorithm </text>

<text>Insect pests are posing a significant threat to agricultural production. They live in different places like fruits, vegetables, flowers, and grains. It impacts
plant growth and causes damage to crop yields. We presented an automatic detection and classification of tomato pests using image processing with
machine learning-based approaches. In our work, we considered texture features of pest images extracted by feature extraction algorithms like gray
level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM), local binary pattern (LBP), histogram of oriented gradient (HOG), and speeded up robust features (SURF).
The three standard classification methods, including support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbour (k-NN), and decision tree (DT) are used for classification operation. The three classifiers have undergone a comprehensive analysis to present which classifier with which feature yields
the best accuracy. The experiment results showed that the SVM classifier's precision using the feature extracted by local binary patterns (LBP) algorithm achieves the highest value of 81.02%. MATLAB software used for feature extraction and waikato environment for knowledge analysis (WEKA) graphical user interface for classification.

<text>Cloud users have recently expanded dramatically. The cloud service providers (CSPs) have also increased and have therefore made their infrastructure more complex. The complex infrastructure needs to be distributed appropriately to various users. Also, the advances in cloud computing have led to the development of interconnected cloud computing environments (ICCEs). For instance, ICCEs include the cloud hybrid, intercloud, multi-cloud, and federated clouds. However, the sharing of resources is not facilitated by specific proprietary technologies and access interfaces used by CSPs. Several CSPs provide similar services but have different access patterns. Data from various CSPs must be obtained and processed by cloud users. To ensure that
all ICCE tenants (users and CSPs) benefit from the best CSPs, efficient resource management was suggested. Besides, it is pertinent that cloud
resources be monitored regularly. Cloud monitoring is a service that works as a third-party entity between customers and CSPs. This paper discusses a complete cloud monitoring survey in ICCE, focusing on cloud monitoring and its significance. Several current open-source monitoring solutions are discussed. A taxonomy is presented and analyzed for cloud resource
management. This taxonomy includes resource pricing, assignment of resources, exploration of resources, collection of resources, and disaster
management. </text>

<text>One of the ways to detect coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) is X-rays, computerized tomography (CT). This paper aims to detect
COVID-19 from CT images without any user intervention. The proposed
algorithm consists of 5 stages. These stages include; the first stage aims to collect data from hospitals and internet websites, the second stage
is pre-processing stage to remove noise and convert it from red green blue (RGB) to grayscale and then improve image quality, the third is the segmentation stage which included threshold and region-growing
segmentation methods. The fourth stage is used to extract important characteristics, and the last stage is classification CT images using feed forward back propagation network (FFBPN) and support vector machines (SVM) and compare the results between them and see if the person is infected or healthy. This study was implemented in MATLAB software.
The results showed that the noise cancellation technology using anisotropic filtering gave the best results. Region-growing method was reliable to
separate COVID-19 infected from healthy regions. The FFBPN has given the best results for detecting and classifying COVID-19. The results of the
proposed methodology are rapid and accurate in detecting COVID-19. The output from classifier is displayed on the Rasbperry Pi that included
weather if patient is infected or not and the severity of COVID-19 infection. </text>

<text>The paper demonstrates an enhancement in the mobile robot’s performance during trajectory tracking with static obstacles. An adaptive artificial neural network (ANN) control methodology with online tuning evolutionary slice genetic algorithm is used for the motion control of the nonlinear dynamics mobile robot system. This paper aims at locating the optimal path from the starting point to the target point and designing an ANN trajectory tracking control methodology. The algorithm is simulated with fixed-global environment obstacles to demonstate the effectiveness of the ANN controller and the evolutionary optimization algorithm in terms of the shortest path length generated and the minimum number of the evaluation cost function calculated. The simulation results illustrate that the ANN controller’s
parameters are obtained quickly, generating smooth wheels’ torque actions for the mobile robot platform with a minimum cost function evolution that lead to minimize the tracking error to approximately zero with no oscillation in the responses.</text>
