<text>The use of metaheuristic optimization techniques in obtaining the optimal
weights of neural network model for the time series was the main part of this
research. The three optimization methods used as experiments were genetic
algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and modified bee colony
(MBC). Feed forward neural network (FFNN) was the neural network (NN)
architecture chosen in this research. The limitations and weaknesses of
gradient-based methods for learning algorithm inspired some researchers to
use other techniques. A reasonable choice is non-gradient based method.
Neural network is inspired by the characteristics of creatures. Therefore, the
optimization techniques which are also resemble the patterns of life in nature
will be appropriate. In this study, various scenarios on the three metaheuristic
optimization methods were applied to get the best one. The proposed
procedure was applied to the rainfall data. The experimental study showed that
GA and PSO were recommended as optimization methods at FFNN model for
the rainfall data.</text>

<text>Insulation system in high voltage power equipment plays an important role for
the reliability of the electric power system. So, it is necessary to assess its
performance to prevent any sudden interruption in the power system. Partial
discharge (PD) in solid dielectrics could occur due to the presence of a cavity
or a crack within the insulating material which could be formed during
manufacturing, installing or/and operating conditions. Since internal cavities
are the main source of the PD activities, they can lead to causing deterioration
of the insulation system and consequently a complete failure may be occurred.
In this paper, PD measurement and simulation are performed on a rubber
insulating material with variable cylindrical cavity diameters. High-frequency
current transformer (HFCT) technique is introduced for PD measurement.
Therefore, a PD simulation model is developed using COMSOL Multiphysics
program interlinked with Matlab software in order to investigate the influence
of cavity geometry on the PD behavior in insulating material. Both measured
and simulated results indicate that PD magnitude is strongly depending on
changing the cavity size inside the insulating material. The results show a good
agreement between experimental and simulated data outputs in terms of
maximum PD magnitude.</text>

create vacancies for spectrum frequency assigned to the primary user. A new
alternative in using the cognitive radio (CR) spectrum is accessible to these
vacancies. This paper analyzed the frequency spectrum in the industrial,
scientific and medical (ISM) band and identified spectrum holes for
transmission by the secondary users. This work employed a realistic approach
by measuring the spectrum using Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP)
devices. Thus, the spectrum holes in the frequency spectrum had distinguished
by using an energy detection technique. In the energy detection technique, the
threshold energy level is set and then compared with the energy detector output
to identify the primary user's existence (PU). The result indicates that 0.61%
of spectrum holes have been detected in the 2.43-2.44 GHz range. This range
is sufficient for home appliances, radio frequency peripherals (RF), and
bluetooth devices.</text>

around 39 million are blind, and 246 million are affected by low vision. Even
in India, as per the recent reviews, over 5 million visually challenged people
are present. Authors performed a survey of some critical problems the
visually challenged people faced in India from the centre for visually
challenged (CVC) School established by UVSM Hospitals. Among the major
problems identified through survey, most of these persons prefer carrying out
their tasks independently, and depend on public transport buses for
migration. However, critical sub-problems being faced include; bus door
identification and identifying the bus route number accurately. This article
aims to provide solutions in helping visually challenged individuals to
identify exact bus that drives them to their destination, its door, bus number,
and the path for boarding bus. A video sequence of current scenario would be
sent to mobile, in which the actual processing of image is carried out. After
the video sequence processing, generated output is a voice message that
specifies the bus's location, door, and exact information of the bus number
along the road path directly to the user using a wireless device aiming foa a
low-cost solution.</text>

updated parameter file of the double-search direction with a new
mathematical formula for the gamma parameter. When comparing the
numerical results of this algorithm with the standard (HWY) algorithm which
given by Halilu, Waziri and Yusuf in 2020. We get very robust numerical
results. The proposed algorithm is devoid of derivatives to solve large-scale
non-linear problems by combining two search directions in one search
direction. We demonstrated the overall convergence of the proposed
algorithm under certain conditions. The numerical results presented in this
paper show that the new search direction is useful for solving widespread
non-linear test problems.</text>

<text>This paper presents a slotted design for ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna.
Design of a rectangular UWB antenna covering the frequency range 3.1-10.6
GHz, to achieve notch characteristics in the bands at 3.1-8.4 GHz and 8.6-
10.6 GHz. By changing the direction of distribution of current to apply this
technique by inserting three C-shaped holes and two pairs of rectangular
notches below the antenna. The simulation results reveal that the proposed
structure is in good accord with the simulation results. The proposed UWB
antenna size is (100x90x1.6 mm)3

. This proposed design could provide a
solution to eliminating bands that interfere in a UWB band depending on the
aperture design. The simulated findings reveal that the UWB antenna
operates in the 8.5 GHz center frequency range and rejects all frequency
bands utilizing slits. This antenna design can provide a solution to remove
UWB bands from 3.1-10.6 except for 8.5 GHz which only works. By using
the notch, we got a large increase in the gain. makes to be a suitable
candidate for X-band-UWB applications.</text>

<text>Image retrieval using features has been used in previous studies including
shape, color, texture, but these features are lagging. With the selection of
high-level features with contours, this research is done with the hypothesis
that images on objects can also be subjected to representations that are
commonly used in natural images. Considering the above matters, we need to
research the feature extraction of object images using gradation contour.
From the results of the gradation contour test results, there is linearity
between the results of accuracy with the large number of images tested.
Therefore, it can be said that the influence of the number of images will
affect the accuracy of classification. The use of contour gradation can be
accepted and treated equally in all image types, so there is no more
differentiation between image features. The complexity of the image does not
affect the method of extracting features that are only used uniquely by an
image. From the results of testing the polynomial coefficient savings data as
a result of the gradation contour, the highest result is 81.40% with the highest
number of categories and the number of images tested in the category is also
higher.</text>

<text>For timely and efficient reactions to disasters, collecting vital and right
information is essential. In recent decades, social media platforms such as
Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram have become valuable sources of
information in disaster times. However, the reliability, volume, and velocity

<text>Land registration systems are very essential for property ownership

management. The exited land registry systems are less efficient and time-
consuming and expose to human errors. By using blockchain technology,

most of the principles of good governance in land administration such as
transparency and efficiency can be fulfilled. However, there is a lack of
experience in developing blockchain-based land registry systems. This paper
proposes a blockchain-based adoption framework for land registry
management in Malaysia. It elaborates more on developing a prototype that
fulfills the main functions of current land registration by using smart contract
functionalities. Also, this paper illustrates the main challenges of adopting
this technology such as expertise shortage of software developers,
implementation difficulties due to scalability of the land transactions, data
sharing with different types of blockchain and lack of security attacks
resistance. Therefore, there is a need to form an agreed-upon blockchain
development platform that meet such constraints.</text>

<text>In a wireless sensor network, energy is almost always the greatest limitation.
Energy sources are restricted in many of the environments where nodes are
deployed, limiting them to the use of batteries for power. Therefore,
conserving energy is supremely important, however, such a task poses many
challenges to hardware and protocol design. One of the greatest problems
faced is reducing the energy consumption of the communications systems,
which represents a substantial amount of the total consumption. This paper
surveys the most recent schemes designed to reduce the communications
module energy consumption with a focus on novel MAC protocols for ad-hoc
wireless sensor networks. It initially describes the many challenges involved,
then it analyses each protocol individually. Finally, the presented protocols are
compared and the issues that remain open are raised for further research.</text>
