<text>In emerging technologies, indoor service robots are playing a vital role for
people who are physically challenged and visually impaired. The service
robots are efficient and beneficial for people to overcome the challenges
faced during their regular chores. This paper proposes the implementation of
autonomous navigation platforms with human-robot interaction which can
be used in service robots to avoid the difficulties faced in daily activities.
We used the robot operating system (ROS) framework for the
implementation of algorithms used in auto navigation, speech processing and
recognition, and object detection and recognition. A suitable robot model
was designed and tested in the Gazebo environment to evaluate the
algorithms. The confusion matrix that was created from 125 different cases
points to the decent correctness of the model.</text>

<text>Brain computer interface (BCI) is a protocol to communicate between the
human brain and a device or application using brain signals. These signals
translated to useful commands by using features extraction and
classification. The most widely used features is the power of alpha and beta
rhythms. This type of features gives only 70% of classification accuracy
without any extra processing using fixed channels to read the signals.
Because the distribution of the power in the brain is not a standard for all
people, each one has his own brain power map. A selection algorithm is used
to find the best channels that could generate higher power than the fixed
ones. Modified camel travelling behavior algorithm is used to select the
channels that used to extract the power of alpha and beta bands of motor
imagery signals. This algorithm is faster to find the best set of channels, and
obtain classification accuracy more than 95% using support vector machine
classifier.</text>

<text>Nowadays, millimeter-wave frequencies present a catchy solution to
securing the colossal data rate needed for 5G communications. Accordingly,
this research deals with the conception of a novel orthogonal 2×2 multiple
input, multiple output (MIMO) antenna design operating in the millimeter
wave spectrum with quite small dimensions of 11×6×0.8 mm3
. The single
antenna element consists of a trapezoidal microstrip patch antenna built on
the Rogers RT5880 laminate with a permittivity of 2.2 and tangent loss of
0.0009. A trapezoidal-slot ground plane is used to support the structure.
The antenna resonates at 28 GHz with a large bandwidth of 4 GHz from 26
to 30 GHz, a good gain of up to 5 dB, and a high radiation efficiency of
99%. A strong isolation is achieved that surpasses 26 dB. Besides, a high
diversity performance is achieved where the envelope correlation coefficient
(ECC) is lower than 0.001, the diversity gain (DG) is greater than 10 dB, and
the channel capacity loss (CCL) is no longer than 0.4 bit/s/Hz. The achieved
outcomes prove the robustness of the suggested MIMO antenna and qualify
it to be a strong candidate for 5G wireless devices.</text>

<text>Due to the sweeping waves of global industry development, the number of
containers passing through terminal ports increases every day. Therefore, it
is essential to automate the identification process for the container codes to
replace the manual identification for more efficient logistics and safer
workplace. This paper aims to design and evaluate the performance of such a
system. Specifically, automated container codes recognition (ACCR) has
been implemented. This is a novel container tracking model based on image
processing algorithms and machine learning (ML) algorithms to be applied
in ports. There are three steps in this system: character detection, character
isolation, and character recognition. The first step is to identify an area with
10 digits and 26 capitals. After detecting the text area, the second step is to
separate the characters. Each character is recognized in the last step by the
classification method. In particular, features are extracted with the histogram
of oriented gradients (HOG) algorithm and support vector machines (SVMs)
for training and prediction. The trained ML model is then used to classify
characters and digits according to what it has learned. In general, the digital
technologies in logistics and container management in ports will benefit
from the proposed algorithms.</text>

modeling was carried out using the technical parameters of the multiservice

experimental research work are given in the form of tables. Relations of the
probability of betime servicing of an application on the load of a
multiservice communication network for various availability factors and the
probability of untimely service of an application on the availability factor for
numerous network loadings are obtained. The character of the distribution of
costs necessary for the implementation of solutions for different categories
of technical operation is shown. Scientific research on determining the
objective function’s minimum value is presented in graphs and diagrams.

The reconfigurable antenna that operates in the millimeter-wave spectrum

antenna has a voltage standing waves ratio (VSWR) < 1.11. From 84 % to
92 %, the suggested structure radiation efficiency is calculated. A small
antenna element has an excellent end-fire radiation pattern in the desired
frequency bands. The antenna shows three reconfigurable bands, 25.17,
26.75, and 27.64 GHz, and gain (2.77−4.4) dBi. The suggested antenna is
well suitable for future fifth-generation (5G) networks because of its notable
features of small overall size (9.8×13×0.787) mm3

, wide bandwidth, and

frequency reconfigurability.</text>

<text>The ocean environment monitoring system is of great significance to the
researchers because the ocean is the storehouse of natural resources. It is
critical to comprehend and assess the ocean’s environmental conditions.
Several studies have been conducted over the last several decades that use
sophisticated information and communication techniques to ensure the ocean
ecosystem. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are a promising technology to
monitor the ocean environment, which delivers significant benefits such as
enhanced accuracy and real-time observations. The advancements in sensor
technology such as micro electromechanical systems (MEMS), integrated
systems, distributed processing, wireless communications, and wireless
sensor applications have contributed to the development of WSNs. This
paper describes the utilization of WSN and analyzes the previous and
existing project works and technologies used for ocean environment
monitoring through WSNs, and also includes the MEMS sensor technology
used for monitoring various ocean parameters such as ocean wave
monitoring, water conductivity, temperature, and depth of ocean.</text>

<text>Optical fiber is increasingly popular and appreciated as a modern sensor
technology in various sectors, one of which is for medical functions. This
study was conducted to detect human diaphragmatic breathing flow using
theoretical and experimental approaches. Initially, the lung model was
formed using the finite element method and the Navier-Stokes equation by
applying the principles of momentum and continuity. Furthermore, fiber
Bragg grating (FBG) and single mode fiber (SMF) were experimentally
designed with sinusoidal patterned macro-scale bending as a stretch sensor
in a breathing belt applied to the diaphragm. The simulation model shows
the airflow velocity increases up to 4 m/s when it flows into smaller
branches. While the experimental results show that the largest power loss
occurs at a buffer diameter of 0.8 cm. The power loss detected in SMF is a
maximum of -0.18 dBm during inhalation and a minimum of -0.28 dBm
during expiration. However, FBG bending is superior with high sensitivity.</text>
