<text>Recently, a huge effort has been pushed to the wireless broadcasting nature
in the open area. However, the vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is
disposed to various kinds of attacks. Hence, keeping the security in VANET is
the most critical issue because of the VANET network related to human life.
Thus, we propose a robust and lightweight security and key agreement-based
identity protocol LSKA-ID for vehicular communication. Our protocol
utilizes the elliptic curve cryptography, Chinese reminder theorem, and
identity (ID)-based cryptosystem to resolve the issues found in the
previously proposed schemes, in which our protocol can resolve the key
escrow issues accompanied in most ID-based schemes. Also, it does not
need batch verification operations, which cause some problems to the
verifier in case the batch beacons have one or more illegal beacons.
Moreover, the LSKA-ID protocol addresses the dependency on the trusted
authority (TA) during the high frequent handover between the groups that
may cause a bottleneck problem on the TA. The security analysis proves the
correctness of the LSKA-ID protocol by using the random oracle model and
has shown to be effective in a performance evaluation.</text>

<text>Traditional fire detection depends on smoke sensors. This strategy, however,
is unsuited for big and open buildings, as well as outdoor regions. As a
result, based on computer vision systems, this research proposes an effective
method for recognizing flames in open areas. To minimize data size without
losing important information, integer Haar lifting wavelet transform is used
to frame and analyze the input video. Then, three color spaces (binary, hue,
saturation, value (HSV), and YCbC) are used in simultaneous color
detection. In binary space, Otsu’s approach is utilized to determine
automated intensity pixels. Additionally, using frame differences to reduce
false alarms. According to the experimental results, the approach achieves
99% accuracy for offline videos and surpasses 93% accuracy for real-time
videos while maintaining a lower level of complexity.</text>

commercial sectors are built. Energy efficiency is considered to be one of the
key aspects of edge power constraints. This paper provides the state of the art
of power consumption and energy management for edge computing, the
computation offloading methods, and more important highlights the power
efficiency of edge computing systems. Furthermore, renewable energy and
related concepts will also be explored and presented since no human
participation is required in replacing or recharging batteries when using such
energy sources. Based on such study, a recommendation is to develop a
dynamic system for energy management in real-time with the assessment of
local renewable energy so that the system be reliable with minimum power
consumption. Also, regarding energy management, we recommend providing
backup energy sources (or using more than one energy source) or (a hybrid
technique).</text>

<text>Piezoelectric energy harvesters (PEHs) are a kind of energy harvester that
generates electricity due to pressure or vibration. Vortex-induced vibration
(VIV) is a method that utilized wind energy and bluff body to generate the
vibration in PEH. The objective of this research was to study the output
voltage that generates in different bluff bodies with various airflow
velocities. Experimental and simulation have done in this study.
Experimental used PEH that consists of piezoelectric bimorph and
rectangular-trapezoid fin. Bluff bodies with various cross-sectional areas,
namely rhombus, square, and triangle were set up in front of the PEH at a
distance of 80 cm. The various air velocities are set up to 5, 7, and 9 m/s in
the wind tunnel with a cross-section of 250 mm × 250 mm. The simulation
used the finite element method in explore the fluid flow pattern.
The rhombus cross-sectional bluff body can generate voltage with an
average of 1.5 volts. It is more voltage generated than a square and triangle.
A vortex is formed near the rhombus bluff body and generates pressure
fluctuation in its wake region. This pressure fluctuation takes place until
airflow hits and leads PEH to vibrate and generate the voltage.</text>

<text>3D printing is a process in which material is joined layer by layer under
computer control to make a 3D object easy to get almost any shape. This
technology finds applications in various fields and it is attracting
considerable interest from industry and academia. There are many different
brands and models of motors used in 3D printers, and they all vary in quality
and effectiveness. In this article we present the principal of the 3D printer,
types of motors used in 3D printer and mathematical modelling of this
motors like brushless direct current (DC) motor, permanent magnet
synchronous motor (PMSM), and stepper motor. The models of analytical
equations describing the three systems of motors are evaluated and
developed by Matlab/Simunlink. In this paper, we have conducted a
comparison of the series of results from simulation between the performance
of PMSM, brushless DC and stepper motor. Among several criteria, this
simulation study allows to select the criterion of response time to reach the
desired speed and the precision of the rotor position to choose the most
performant motor for 3D printers.</text>

<text>In this study, we used several classifiers and vectorizers to see their effect on
processing social media data. In this study, the classifiers used were random
forest, logistic regression, Bernoulli Naive Bayes (NB), and support vector
clustering (SVC). Random forests are used to reduce spatial complexity, and
also to minimize errors. Logistic regression is a method with a statistical model
whose basic form uses a logistic function to represent the binary dependent
variable. Then, the Naive Bayes function uses binary elements and SVC which
has so far given good results rivals other guided learning. Our tests use social
media data. Based on the tests that have been carried out on classifier
variations and vectorizer variations, it was found that the best classifier is a
linear regression algorithm based on predictive adaptive compared to the
random forest method based on decision trees, probability-based Bernoulli NB
and SVC which work by clustering. Meanwhile, from the test results on the
count vectorizer, term frequency-inverse document frequency (TFIDF), and
hashing, the best accuracy is achieved on the TFIDF vectorizer. In this case,
it means that the TFIDF vectorizer has a better value in presenting word
feature dimensions.</text>

its kernel versions are used. However, recent advancements in
programmable, massively parallel graphics processing units (GPU) hold
promise in terms of increased computational capacity at a lower cost to
address multi-dimensional data and time complexity. We implement a novel
parallel version of KNN by porting the distance computation step on GPU
using the compute unified device architecture (CUDA) and compare the
performance of all the algorithms using the BioNLP/NLPBA 2004 corpus.
Results demonstrate that CUDA-KNN takes full advantage of the GPU’s
computational capacity and multi-leveled memory architecture, resulting in a
35× performance enhancement over the central processing unit (CPU). In a
comparative study with existing research, the proposed model provides an
option for a faster NER system for higher dimensionality and larger datasets
as it offers balanced performance in terms of accuracy and speed-up, thus
providing critical design insights into developing a robust BioNLP system.</text>

loads during the operation of the tower crane are challenging tasks. These
are the most important control issues for safe operation, which are difficult
to achieve easily with conventional control systems. Hence, the need to
integrate the concepts of soft-computing into the tower crane control system.
The aim of this research work is to design an adaptive-network-based fuzzy
inference system (ANFIS) controller to move the payload to the final position
with the lowest possible swing angle. To evaluate the ability of the proposed
controller to meet the control requirements, its performance was compared to
three other controllers: a conventional proportional derivative (PD) controller,
a fuzzy-tuned PD controller and a fuzzy controller. MATLAB-based
computer simulations of the crane and controllers were carried out to verify
and compare the performance of the proposed controllers. The obtained
results show the effectiveness of the ANFIS-based controller in adjusting the
load position while keeping the load fluctuations small at the final position.
The load oscillation angle is about ±2.28° with the ANFIS controller while it
is about ±10° when using the PD controller. In addition, only one</text>

<text>This paper scrutinizes visible light communication (VLC) employing hybrid
optical time division multiplexing (OTDM) wavelength division
multiplexing (WDM). It also demonstrates the simulation of VLC using the
direct sequence optical code division multiple access (DS-OCDMA) system
developed by OptiSystem-Matlab Co-simulation. The profits of WDM and
OTDM capacities have been combined using two levels of freedom to build
up of the system. The performances are demonstrated in the simulated
findings of the bit error rate (BER) in relationship with the data rate and the
number of users. First, the simulated results display the usefulness of the
system. Then, the number of users has been significantly enhanced. Besides,
the OCDMA functions by appointing a specific code to each user and could
provide asynchronous and simultaneous access to numerous users. One
drawback is multiple access interference (MAI). The use of very long code
sequences is crucial in order to lessen this effect. Hence, very large
bandwidths are essential. This study aims at demonstrating, through system
simulation, the practicability of an all-optical conventional correlation
receiver dedicated to a DS-OCDMA access network link. Again,
OptiSystem has been used to realize our blocks.</text>
