However, previous meta-analyses focused only on cross-sectional findings. The present study aims to meta-analytically summarize 56 longitudinal studies on CP, CV, and related factors in children and adolescents. Forty meta-analyses on CP and CV as both predictors and outcomes of person-related, Internet activity-related, and contextual factors were performed. Additional moderator analyses took into account study design, sample population, and quality of the studies. Results highlight reciprocal longitudinal effects among CP, CV, and both traditional bullying and victimization: CP causes externalizing problem behaviors over time, whereas CV constitutes a risk factor of internalizing problems, such as depression and anxiety. Conversely, behavioral problems and increased Internet use predict involvement in CP, while depression, anxiety, and Internet use also predict CV over time. Title A name given to the resource Time-Dependent Effects of Relational Composition on the Success of Online Wellness Challenge Groups Subject The topic of the resource Social Network, Online Support Group, Wellness, Health Behavior Change, Relationship Description An account of the resource This study aims to examine time-dependent effects of group-level relational composition, including the number and cohesion of prior online relationships and multiple-group membership (MGM), on the success of online wellness challenge groups (OWCGs) in promoting positive health behavior among group members. Bridging literature on online groups and social networks for health, this study collected data on 1,252 OWCGs and conducted analyses on how relational composition affected group success longitudinally over the life span of the OWCGs. The results showed that the number of prior online relationships within a group had a positive but decreasing effect over time on group success, whereas cohesion was not a significant predictor. MGM, indicating members’ concurrent participation in multiple OWCGs, showed a positive effect on group success at the beginning but a negative effect towards the end of a group’s life span. Theoretical and practical implications for designing successful OWCGs were discussed. In this study, it is explicated as two sequential processes: mobile sessions composed of an uninterrupted set of behaviors and mobile trajectories composed of mobile sessions and mobile-off time. A data set of a five-month behavioral logfile of mobile application use by approximately 2,500 users in Hong Kong is used. Mobile sessions are constructed and mined to uncover sequential characteristics and patterns in mobile phone use. Mobile trajectories are analyzed to examine intraindividual change and interindividual differences on mobile re-engagement as indicators of behavioral dynamics in mobile phone use. The study provides empirical support for and expands the boundaries of existing theories about combinatorial use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Finally, the understanding on mobile temporality is enhanced, that is, mobile temporality is homogeneous across social sectors. In this article, we study, first, how 10 older adults adapt new online media into their daily lives and, by doing so, adjust to the changing “rules of engagement” that guide online-media use in their social surroundings. Second, we analyze how this adaptation process generates change in older adults’ social connectedness. Results suggest that older adults’ non-use of popular online media results in social exclusion. Enhancing their social connectedness, requires older adults to (partially) conform to new communication norms and values. Based on our findings, we propose three adaptation strategies that enhance both offline and online social connectedness.
