Software metrics have proven over time as the best measure to be used to assess and assure the software developers of the quality of their products. Halstead software science is an essential technique for measuring software complexity at the source code. In this study, we present a comparative study using this technique to help the developer by evaluating the code complexity by considering the structural composition of a programming language. In this study, an experiment was done using Halstead metrics to evaluate the complexity of PHP, C++, Java, C and Python programming languages. This study demonstrate that Halstead gives a better approach in evaluating the level of complexity of programming languages at source code level. The results showed that C++ and Java are the most complex programming languages while Python was the least complex warranting less of the programmer's time and effort when developing a similar project. These findings can be used by the software developers to make decisions on the programming language to adopt when they want to come up with less complex software of high quality. In the future, the researchers will advance the study to incorporate other software paradigms and also modify the technique to capture also inter and intra-modular structural complexity of the various programming languages. Therefore, this paper attempts to evaluate phishing attack strategies on mobile device users by taking into account new techniques such as phishing attacks on videoconferencing services, SMS, voice calls, emails, and social media. The study also carried out a survey with the use of a questionnaire (via google form) to gather data from 122 mobile device users across Nigeria to elicit their awareness and experience, as well as responses to phishing attacks. Description An account of the resource Conventional approach to air pollution monitoring using tempo-spatial measurements with instruments and air quality meters is cumbersome, stressful and unable to offer continuous monitoring. An Internet of Things (IoT) – based air pollution monitor using low cost micro-scale sensing technology was designed and developed. This system is convenient, cost effective and offers round the clock monitoring. The IoT-based air pollution monitoring system comprises of a sensor node, microcontroller (MC), internet gateway and a cloud server. Data is transmitted to ThingSpeak cloud server through HTTP command. The results are displayed on ThingSpeak webpage and remotely accessed. Three separate hardware devices were developed and deployed in three different locations within Kaduna city. These areas are Kakuri industrial layout, Ahmadu Bello way commercial center and Gonin Gora residential area. The results from these locations which are remotely assessed, indicated that the developed devices offer continuous monitoring of air pollution with minimal human intervention. Furthermore, using percentage difference, the results from the IoT – based air pollution monitor are compared with those of conventional air quality meters and found to be accurate with a tolerance value of 5%.
