<text>The internet of medical things (IoMT) has transformed the healthcare sector by facilitating real-time monitoring, remote patient care, and tailored healthcare solutions. However, the challenge of upholding a high standard quality of service (QoS) in IoMT implementations remains a pressing issue. This article delves into the possibilities of utilizing 5G networks and smart techniques to optimize QoS within IoMT systems. By capitalizing on the capabilities of 5G networks, including substantial bandwidth, minimal latency, and extensive connectivity, in conjunction with intelligent methods such as machine learning and predictive analytics, this paper introduces novel strategies to enhance QoS in IoMT environments. The summary underscores the advantages of these methods in elevating network dependability, diminishing latency, enhancing data transmission efficiency, and enabling resource allocation efficiency in IoMT deployments. Additionally, it explores the potential ramifications of these developments on healthcare outcomes, patient contentment, and the overall effectiveness of the healthcare system. The conclusions propose that by maximizing QoS through 5G networks and intelligent techniques, IoMT holds the potential to significantly enhance the delivery of healthcare services, fostering a more interconnected and efficient healthcare ecosystem in the process innovation.</text>

<text>To hide confidential messages from people who are not responsible or who can access the messages, a way is needed to hide the messages. One way to hide messages in transmission is to change the data into something unintelligible by encoding and embedding it using cryptography and steganography techniques. This application was built using the hill cipher algorithm and the Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) method. This algorithm is a symmetric key algorithm which has several advantages in data encryption. The hill chiper algorithm uses a mxm matrix as the encryption and decryption key. Meanwhile, the RC4 symmetric key is in the form of a stream cipher which can process input data as well as messages or information. Input data is generally in the form of bytes or even bits. The results of this research show that hill cipher and RC4 have their respective advantages and disadvantages. However, currently, RC4 is generally considered less safe for use in security-critical scenarios due to its vulnerability to attack. It is highly recommended to use an encryption algorithm such as advanced encryption standard (AES) which is modern and strong and has been tested and proven to be more resilient.</text>

This paper proposes an automated HIA that uses deep learning to improve accuracy and efficiency in liver cancer cell growth. The model uses whole slide image (WSI) input, open computer vision (OpenCV) libraries for image preprocessing, ResNet50 for patch-level feature extraction, and multiple instances learning for image-level classification. The suggested approach accurately distinguishes liver histopathological pictures as cancerous or non-cancerous. <text>Microstrip patch antennas are becoming increasingly popular because they are small, have low profiles, are easy to integrate, are very cheap, and work well. For this reason, this antenna could be used for wireless communication systems. This research paper reviews and studies 28 GHz microstrip patch antenna for wireless applications. Different substrate materials have been used to make these antennas, such as FR-4 (loss), FR-4 Epoxy, Rogers RT/droid 5880, TLC-30, Rogers RT/droid 5880 LZ, and others. Different substrate materials and shapes were used to make microstrip patch antennas with a frequency of 28 GHz. This article discusses the different sizes of antennas, the other geometric shapes antennas can take, the different ways antennas’ properties can be analyzed, and the different types of antennas. It will also talk about the material, thickness, loss tangent, return loss, bandwidth, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), gain, efficiency, and directivity of the substrate. This antenna is used for super-high-frequency (SHF), radars, commercial wireless local area networks (LANs), cell phones, and other wireless communications systems.</text>

<text>Based on the modified Diffie-Hellman (DH) protocol, a key distribution scheme between two correspondents over open communication channels is considered. The correspondents communicate through a trusted entity. An attacker can control the communication channels between the correspondents and the channels between the correspondents and the trusted authority (TA) and perform active attacks there, including a man-in-the-middle attack. DH authentication protocol using physically unclonable functions (PUF) is proposed. A formalized PUF model based on the class of universal hash functions is presented. Namely, it is proposed to use the class of strictly universal hash functions developed by Wegman and Carter. A polynomial dependence of the possible number of PPUs on the number of answers has been proven. Requirements for PPUs suitable for authentication systems are formulated. The protocol has been analyzed, and its security has been proved.</text>

<text>One of the most significant limitations in wireless body area network (WBAN) is the requirement for low energy usage. For this reason, several routing techniques and protocols have been put out to provide an efficient means of energy saving during communication. In this work, we propose three approaches based on the formation of a chain of sensor nodes using a matrix of distances. The first approach is based on forming a single chain using the shortest distances. The second and the third consist in changing the position of the sink by forming a single cluster using the fuzzy C-means (FCM) method and the center of the latter constitutes the new position of the sink. In comparison to RE-ATTEMPT and PSOBAN, the third proposed chain-based approach has enabled a remarkable energy savings, which may have a big impact on the network’s entire lifespan.</text>

<text>The successful implementation of deep learning nets opens up possibilities for various applications in viticulture, including disease detection, plant health monitoring, and grapevine variety identification. With the progressive advancements in the domain of deep learning, further advancements and refinements in the models and datasets can be expected, potentially leading to even more accurate and efficient classification systems for grapevine leaves and beyond. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the potential of deep learning for agricultural applications and paves the way for future studies in this domain. This work employs a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based architecture to perform grapevine leaf image classification by adapting VGG-16 net and VGG-19 net models and subsequently identifying the optimal performer between the two nets during the classification process. A publicly available dataset comprising 500 images categorized into 5 distinct classes (100 images per class), was utilized in this work. The obtained empirical outcomes demonstrate a remarkable accuracy rate of 99.6% for the VGG-16 net model, while VGG-19 net achieves a 100% accuracy rate. Based on these findings, it can be inferred that VGG-19 net exhibits superior performance in classifying images of grapevine leaves compared to the VGG-16 net.</text>

<text>In order to provide solution to limited network resources in heterogeneous wireless networks supporting different applications with distinct quality of service (QoS) requirements, call admission control (CAC) schemes are implemented. This work is aimed at investigating three mostpopular CAC schemes employedin mobile worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), namely dynamic CAC with bandwidth reservation (DCACBR), QoS-aware CAC (QoSACAC), and QoS guaranteed CAC (QoSGCAC) to identify their shortfalls which will form the focus of future research. A general platform is developed and simulated. The simulation was based on the following KPIs: blocking rate, dropping rate, and throughput for new and handoff connections. Simulation results for new connection shows that QoSGCAC outperforms scheme DCACBR and QoSACAC, having 26.9% and 8.56% improvements in throughput and 63.11% and 24.17% in blocking rate respectively. For handoff connection, QoSACAC showed the best performance having 13.25% and 47.84% improvements in throughput and 6.8% and 49.3% in blocking rate as compared to the DCACBR and QoSGCAC, respectively. Result analysis shows that QoSACAC has the best performance however, it admits new connections and degrade existing connections but failed to consider the delay-intolerant service classes. It is recommended that the QoSACAC be further improved.</text>

<text>Terahertz (THz) technology is the utilization of electromagnetic waves with frequencies in the range of 0.1 to 10 terahertz. This frequency range is also known as the submillimeter range, lying between the microwave and infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. Terahertz technology has numerous applications in various fields, such as communications, spectroscopy, imaging, and sensing. In communications, terahertz waves can transmit large amounts of data over short distances and potentially revolutionize wireless communication networks. Recently, scientists and researchers have been concentrating on terahertz technology as it continues to evolve. In this paper, we design and simulate a rectangular-shaped patch nanoantenna with a line-feeding technique; the proposed antenna is based on three layers: a perfect electric conductor (PEC) patch, a silicon substrate layer, and a fully PEC ground plane layer. The main aim is to study the impact of altering the nanoantenna’s parameters, including shape, size, ground plane, feed line, and patch nanostructures, on its behavior. The simulated antenna operates in triple-bands of frequrncywhich are 571.85, 715.66, and 905.05 THz. As a result, the applications of this terahertz frequency band are within the visible range.</text>

<text>In this paper, a proposal is made for a cryptographic algorithm designed for passive ultra-high-frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification systems. The algorithm relies on the advanced encryption standard (AES) as its fundamental encryption technique, augmented by two supplementary steps: the initial step involves generating a random key and the second is the randomization of data, this introduces an extra level of security to encryption process against attacks. The developed architecture has been optimized to minimize hardware resource consumption with faster execution speed. The algorithm has been simulated, synthesized and implemented in an xtreme digital signal processing (DSP) starter kit equipped with xilinx’s spartan-3A DSP 1800A edition and it serves the purpose of encrypting and decrypting user data on a radio frequency identification (RFID) passive tag. The main objective is to make it difficult to break the algorithm because of its multiple steps. The experimental results showed that the speed, functionality and cost of encryption and decryption make this a perfectly practical solution, providing a satisfactory level of security for today’s communications systems, or other electronic data transfer processes where security is required.</text>
