<text>World Health Organization warns that stress will increase due to the COVID-19 pandemic
situation. Stress can disrupt sleep quality, and the potential for experiencing sleep paralysis is most common in
students, which can reduce students' academic abilities. This study aimed to identify the correlation between
stress levels and sleep paralysis in final-year nursing students during COVID-19.; The research design
describes the correlation with a Cross-Sectional approach with a total sampling technique of 238 final-year
nursing students. Data were analyzed using a chi-square test; Results: with Asymp.Sig 0.012˂0.05, there is a
correlation between stress levels and sleep paralysis. More than half of 152 students (63.9%) with moderate
stress levels experienced sleep paralysis, a small portion of 41 (17.2%) students with severe stress levels
experienced sleep paralysis and students with mild stress levels 15 (6.3%) experienced sleep paralysis;
Conclusions: in this study indicate that the highest stress level experiences sleep paralysis at moderate stress
levels. Students are expected to optimize further the counseling activities held by the institution, and the institution can provide interventions such as progressive muscle relaxation therapy to reduce stress levels and sleep disturbances.</text>

<text>This integrative review, based on twenty-four studies from data resources, including Scopus,
CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, and Indonesia science and technology index (SINTA), was published from
2009 to 2019. The eligible studies were conducted in Indonesia, published in the English or Indonesian
language, and reported the incident, survival rate, and physical or psychological effects of disease or
chemotherapy. There were 23 quantitative studies and two qualitative studies. The theoretical or conceptual
framework was not identified to guide and develop the studies. Most studies used retrospective and crosssectional studies; the target population was acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and used small sample sizes
for a cross-sectional study. The variables that were explored in the quantitative studies consisted of the
incidence of leukemia, survival rate, abandonment of treatment, effects of disease or chemotherapy, quality of
life (QOL), and others. The qualitative findings focused on the experience of being diagnosed with leukemia
and its meaning in the adolescent context. The evidence from the studies showed that the incidence rate of all
types of leukemia increases each year. The survival rate was lower than in other countries, with differences in
numbers among hospitals. The effects of the disease and chemotherapy dominated the problem of children the
low level of QOL. More research is necessary to explore the factors related to treatments' outcomes,
particularly the aspects related to survival rate and QOL are using comprehensive data analysis, an
appropriate theoretical framework to guide the study, more sample size, and involving multiple hospital settings.</text>

<text>Heart failure is a heart disease which has an escalating prevalence. Disease conditions that can cause
a deterioration in quality of life and even death require further treatment through self-care. Knowledge about
self-care can be provided by nurses while the patient is in the hospital even when going home. The purpose of
this systematic review is to determine the application of self-care education in heart failure patients to improve
self-care knowledge and compliance. The research method used a systematic review design using data bases from
ProQuest, EBSCOhost, Scopus, and Science Direct with several keywords used. The results obtained 7 articles
that were reviewed after adjusting the inclusion criteria. The results of the study found that the provision of selfcare education was able to improve self-care compliance in heart failure patients. The conclusion of this study is
that education that is more applicable, interactive and sustainable can improve knowledge and compliance with self-care in heart failure patients</text>

<text>Several studies identified the effect of family visits on reducing patient and family anxiety levels.
However, until now there has been no review that synthesizes the results of these studies on this population.
This review aimed to identify the effect of family visit management on the anxiety level of patients and families
in the ICU. This Study used a scoping review method using CINAHL, PubMed, Science Direct and search
engines Google Scholar. The keywords used in English were "family visitation OR visits" AND "anxiety
disorders OR anxiety OR generalized anxiety disorder" AND "ICU OR intensive care unit OR critical care."
The criteria for selecting the articles included full-text articles in English and published in 2013-2023. The
study selection process used the PRISMA-ScR flow chart. We found 11 articles discussing the management of
family visits to the anxiety of ICU patients. Based on the results of the analyzed studies, it shows that there are
several types of scheduled visit management (in and out hours), flexible family visitations, limited visits,
regular visits, and online methods. In general, participants in the studies analyzed showed reduced levels of
anxiety and most studies indicated that flexible visits were positively related to satisfaction with the services
provided in the ICU. Furthermore, it is advised that the visiting policies in ICU be modified and that families be given the option to participate in patient care through schedule attendance and involvement.</text>

<text>Sugar consumption has been associated with some diseases such as diabetes mellitus in
Indonesia. Qualitative informations regarding sugar consumption patterns among adult individuals is
an essential approach to construct appropriate approaches to the emerging problems. The qualitative
descriptive method with the phenomenological approach of this research employed a purposive
sample technique with data saturation as the number determinant. The key informants who meet the
requirements and are willing to participate are given an Informed Consent to be filled in before the
interview. Interviews were done by semi structured guided questions. The Colaizzi 7 steps qualitative
analysis technique are used to examine the data obtained 7 key informants participated voluntarily in
this study. Results: There are 3 sub-themes emerged from the verbatim data: sugar sources, adjustment
of the type of sugar intake, attempts to change sugar consumption patterns, and interventions related
to sugar eating habits. The three sub-themes formed three major themes: the pattern of sugar intake
and consumption time in daily routine, the attempt to change the habits of sugar consumption, the
approach in changing the patterns of sugar consuming habits in adults through experience and
knowledge, daily practice and through health education. As a health educator, it is expected to be able to modify society’s sugar consumption habits.</text>

<text>Smoking, an addictive behaviour, is a health problem that is still found during the COVID-19
pandemic. There are several possibilities that have impacts on smoking behaviour during the COVID-19
pandemic. The aim of this study is to understand the description of smoking addiction during the COVID-19
pandemic towards students at the University. A descriptive quantitative research design was used. This study
involved one variable which is smoking behavioral dependence during the COVID-19 pandemic in students at
the University. The populations in this study are students who are active smokers (conventional, electric, or
shisha) at one of the universities in Indonesia. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling, and it is
obtained a sample of 378 students. The instrument in this study uses the GN-SBQ (Glover Nilsson-Smoking
Behavioural Questionnaire). The results of the research data are analyzed using descriptive analysis in the
percentage frequency distribution. Based on the results of the study, it is found that during the COVID-19
pandemic, most of the respondents experienced smoking dependency behavioral moderate (66.4%), strong
(20.9%), and mild (12.7%). The use of cigarettes during the COVID-19 pandemic mostly uses conventional
rather than electric and shisha. Based on the characteristics of the respondents, smoking behavioral dependency
is dominated by male students, aged 21 years, grade 2017, and had pocket money in the middle economic
category. Therefore, this study recommends health services to provide counselling and mentoring services for
students, which one of them is the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to reduce the level of smoking
behavior.</text>

<text>Sleep is one of the essential factors in life and affects glucose metabolism, so it is crucial for diabetic patients to have good quality sleep to control their diabetes. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between
sleep quality and HbA1c levels in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study was conducted with a
cross-sectional study approach with a sample of 170 respondents with convenience sampling from a hospital in
Banda Aceh. Sleep quality data was measured by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and HbA1c levels
were obtained from the results of respondents' HbA1c examinations in the last three months analyzed through
chi-square. The results showed a significant relationship between sleep quality and respondents' HbA1c levels
(p = 0.008), where respondents (64.1%) with poor sleep quality had an eight times the risk of having
uncontrolled HbA1c levels compared to respondents with good sleep quality. Education on the importance of
sleep health in patients regularly should be carried out in groups by health services to motivate T2DM patients to enjoy adequate sleep and improve their glycemic control through learning media that interest patients</text>

<text>Gouty arthritis is a condition characterized by joint inflammation due to the accumulation of
monosodium urate crystals in the joint, resulting in severe pain, reduced musculoskeletal ability, and poor QoL.
Therefore, this study aims to identify non-pharmacological pain management in gouty arthritis sufferers. This
study is a narrative review including three databases such as ScienceDirect, Proquest, Pubmed, and the search
engine Google Scholar. It was conducted using keywords such as gouty arthritis, non-pharmacology, and pain
management. The article was sorted by cyclical criteria, and assessment was performed using JBI Critical
Appraisal tools. The results showed that non-pharmacological interventions such as warm compresses using
moringa leaves, lemongrass decoction water, ginger, cinnamon, soursop leaves, and CQBG (compound Qingbi
granules) are effective in reducing gouty arthritis pain and have no side effects. Therefore, this study is expected to provide useful information and insights egarding pain management to health workers, nurses, sufferers, and the general public.</text>
