<text>The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on education in nursing programs. Changes in the learning system
were followed by changes in learning methods and information technology as a means of support. In fact, mastery of
learning methods and information technology support is still not optimal. To improve students’ cognitive, affective, and
psychomotor capacities, lecturers must grasp numerous learning approaches and information technology. This study
aimed to examine the relationship of mastery of online learning methods and information technology assistance with
nursing students’ cognitive, emotional, and psychomotor capacities in Indonesia. The design of this study was a crosssectional internet-based survey. The instrument was an online questionnaire using a Google Docs form. The sample size
was 582 participants. Simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique. Statistical analysis used Pearson’s
correlation test. In terms of education level, the results of the research show that the majority of the participants are from
the diploma level (44.2%), followed by undergraduate (26.1%), professional nursing (18.6%), master (8.8%), specialist
(1.4%), and doctoral (1.0%). A significant relationship (p < 0.05) was found between mastery of online learning methods
and information technology support and cognitive and psychomotor abilities in a positive direction. No relationship was
found with affective abilities. Mastery of learning methods and information technology support were correlated with the
achievement of cognitive and psychomotor abilities. Specific online learning methods are needed to achieve students’
effective abilities</text>

<text>Family assistance with palliative care for advanced cancer patients is very important in optimizing patients’ quality of
life. The purpose of this study was to explore family perceptions of palliative service provision to advanced cancer patients
at home. The study adopted a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach based on in-depth interviews
with six participants. The main theme that emerged was family perceptions of participation in palliative care programs
for cancer patients at home. There were three subthemes: family administering additional treatment, the patient being
resigned to and accepting their condition, and the patient being helped by treatment. The families’ perceptions of caring
for cancer patients at home were positive, and the patients demonstrated adaptive coping in dealing with their diseases.
Family assistance to advanced cancer patients requires support from health workers as well as palliative cadres in the
form of training on how to treat cancer patients and be good companions, as this can improve patients’ quality of life</text>

<text>Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have transformed education. The minimal usage of MOOCs in nursing
education reveals a lack of continuous healthcare professional development. Although MOOCs are recognized as a viable
means of continuing education for healthcare professionals, their application and content specifically tailored to healthcare
have remained unexplored. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a dedicated Massive Open Online Course
(MOOC) designed to enhance nurses' risk communication knowledge in global health emergencies through testing with
a small nurse sample in a pilot trial. This preliminary examination seeks participant feedback and insights. A quasiexperimental research design was conducted, employing a one-group pre-test and post-test design using the convenience
sampling method with 40 registered nurses from the medical center of International Islamic University Malaysia. These
nurses engaged in a four-week MOOC hosted on i-Taleem (the university's eLearning platform), focusing on knowledge
about risk communication. Pre- and post-course questionnaires were administered, and the data was analyzed using SPSS
version 20.0's paired t-test. The study showed a significant improvement in test scores with a p-value of 0.022, which is
less than the predetermined significance level of 0.05. Consequently, the alternate hypothesis (HA) is accepted, signifying
a substantial improvement in nurses' knowledge of risk communication in global health emergencies. Additionally, this
study provides the framework for the widespread implementation of such instructional interventions in nursing education
and professional development</text>

<text>Preschool age is widely recognized as a critical phase in child development, often referred to as the golden period, the
window of opportunity, and the critical period. Alarming statistics from the Indonesian Ministry of Health reveal that
16% of Indonesian toddlers, amounting to 0.4 million children, experience developmental delays, encompassing fine and
gross motor skills, hearing impairments, reduced cognitive abilities, and speech delays. This study aims to assess the
effectiveness of an Android-based early detection and intervention system on the development of preschool children
during the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic in Central Java. The research employed a quasiexperimental design without a control group using a range of instruments, including observation sheets, the Sahabat
Bunda application, the pre-screening developmental questionnaire (PDQ), and anthropometric measurements. Data
analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test because the data were not normally distributed. The study’s results
underscore a significant influence between the initial developmental status of children and their subsequent progress
following developmental intervention, with a remarkable p-value of 0.001. In conclusion, this research demonstrates that
providing developmental intervention positively impacts the overall development of preschool children. This study
substantially benefits the community, specifically preschool-age children and their parents. The utilization of the Sahabat
Bunda application emerges as a valuable tool for early detection of developmental issues and to foster the growth of
preschool-age children. This research contributes to enhancing child development, particularly in the context of the
COVID-19 pandemic</text>

<text>Studies suggest that there may be gaps in knowledge and compliance with infection control measures among healthcare
workers in Saudi Arabia. This study aimed to determine the knowledge of, and preventive measures employed by the
healthcare workers in Hail City, Saudi Arabia, regarding infectious diseases. A cross-sectional design was employed, and
the study participants were 265 healthcare workers aged 18 or older who were currently employed at government
hospitals, involved in patient care or essential healthcare services, and fluent in English. Healthcare workers on leave,
with cognitive impairments, with language barriers, or who refused to participate in the study were excluded. Data
collection took place between November and December 2022. Overall, there was a high percentage of correct responses
During the surge of the highly infectious disease known as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which reached
pandemic levels, most of the participants wore gloves while at work and wore masks when leaving the house. None of
the participants went to crowded places (100%). Of note, the participants’ educational attainment (p < .000) and education
on COVID-19 (p = .001) were found to have significant relationships with their knowledge. Accordingly, sex (p < .000),
educational attainment (p < .000), occupation (p = .001), and education on COVID-19 (p < .000) were found to have
significant relationships with employment of COVID-19 preventive measures. The healthcare workers in this study have
a good understanding of COVID-19 and are taking appropriate preventive measures to protect themselves and others from
it. However, ongoing education and training are crucial to ensure that all healthcare workers possess the necessary
knowledge and skills to respond effectively to future health crises.</text>

<text>Teenage pregnancy in Thailand poses significant public health challenges with implications for societal welfare and
economic development. This systematic review analyzed the challenges faced by teenage mothers in Thailand, evaluated
existing initiatives, and proposed evidence-based recommendations. A comprehensive literature search was conducted
using the Scopus and Web of Science databases and others focusing on literature from 2016 to 2023. Keywords included
“teenage pregnancy,” “teen mom,” “unwanted pregnancy,” and “unintended pregnancy” resulting in the selection of 36
studies. The PRISMA framework was followed to ensure a systematic approach. Data extraction focused on societal,
educational, economic, and health-related challenges as well as the effectiveness of current interventions. Results
indicated that teenage mothers in Thailand face substantial societal stigma, educational disruptions, economic difficulties,
and significant health risks. Current initiatives and policies are insufficient in coverage and effectiveness. This review
highlights the need for comprehensive sex education, improved access to contraception, youth-friendly sexual and
reproductive health services, and targeted support programs for teenage mothers, emphasizing a multi-sectoral approach
involving government agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), educational institutions, healthcare
providers, and communities. The findings suggest that better-targeted interventions and collaborative efforts are required
to reduce teenage pregnancy and improve the quality of life for teenage mothers in Thailand to foster a healthier and more
inclusive society</text>
