<text>Introduction: One of the main complications of diabetes is diabetic foot
ulcer (DFU), which often requires intensive care and involves
collaboration between various disciplines. In managing diabetic foot
ulcers, several ethical dilemmas arise regarding autonomy, beneficence,
non-maleficence, and justice. This review of the literature aims to
examine ethical dilemmas in the care of diabetic wounds.
Methods: A literature review was conducted to analyze articles published
over the last five years (2019–2024). The analysis involved a detailed
review of healthcare workers' ethical dilemmas, particularly nurses, in
managing diabetic wounds.
Results: Nurses are crucial in addressing ethical dilemmas in diabetic
wound care. They must have a comprehensive knowledge of diabetic
wounds, including their pathophysiology, complications, and treatment
options. Nurses must also have strong decision-making skills, allowing
them to analyze situations, weigh various factors, and make appropriate
decisions. Furthermore, they must maintain effective relationships with
patients and their families.
Conclusion: Ethical dilemmas in wound care present complex and
multidimensional challenges. Nurses must possess adequate knowledge,
skills, and support to navigate these situations effectively. By doing so,
they can provide high-quality, dignified care to patients while protecting
their well-being.</text>

<text>Introduction: Stroke is a common disease that disrupts daily activities and
can even lead to death. According to the World Health Organization (2016),
stroke is the leading cause of disability worldwide and the second leading
cause of death. Stroke affects various aspects of life, including mobility,
emotions, attitudes, and communication. Stroke patients often experience
activity limitations, making them dependent on family caregivers for
assistance with daily needs. This dependency can place a significant
burden on family caregivers, leading to stress. This research aims to
analyze the key factors contributing to stress among family caregivers of
stroke patients.
Methods: This study employed a literature review approach, analyzing 16
articles published between 2017 and 2024 in either Indonesian or English.
Only full-text articles were included. The literature review followed the
PRISMA checklist to ensure the appropriate selection of studies aligned
with the research objectives.
Results: Several factors contribute to stress among family caregivers of
stroke patients, including (1) age, (2) duration of caregivers, (3) gender,
(4) burden, and (5) (1) age, (2) duration of caregiving, (3) gender, (4)
burden, and (5) social support received from other family members.
Conclusion: This highlights the need for tailored stress management
strategies, stronger social support networks, and further research to
understand varying stressors. Policymakers and healthcare providers
should prioritize creating resources, raising awareness, and offering
personalized support to alleviate caregiver burden and improve overall
well-being.</text>

<text>Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic, especially the Omicron variant, has
had a broad impact on human life, especially on the economic and health
aspects, including for nurses working on the front lines who are at risk of
experiencing anxiety. This study aims to identify factors related to nurses'
anxiety towards the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Methods: This study was conducted in Bangli Regency, Bali, Indonesia. The
sampling technique used was snowball sampling with a sample size of 311
nurses. The instrument used was a questionnaire filled out by respondents
via Google Forms. The analysis was univariate, bivariate (Chi-square test),
and multivariate (multiple logistic regression).
Results: The results of this study found that 25.7% of respondents
experienced anxiety towards the Omicron variant of COVID-19. Perception
and completeness of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) were
significantly related to nurses' anxiety towards the Omicron variant of
COVID-19. On the contrary, the work environment and history of
comorbidities did not affect anxiety.
Conclusion: The factors that most influence the level of nurses' anxiety are
perception and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</text>

<text>Introduction: T2DM can increase morbidity and mortality. Almost half of
T2DM patients have impaired foot sensitivity. This increases the risk of
diabetic foot ulcers, causing the patient to not feel any injuries to the legs,
even to amputation. Therefore, handling the proper treatment to prevent
these complications is necessary, one of which is using foot massage and
active ROM. This study aimed to determine the effect of the combination of
foot massage and active ROM on foot sensitivity among T2DM patients at
Mangusada Hospital.
Methods: This study was carried out in the Kecak Room of Mangusada
Hospital, involving 30 T2DM patients. This study uses a pre-experiment
design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used to
assess foot sensitivity among T2DM patients was a 10-g monofilament
applied at five points on each patient's right and left soles.
Results: The results showed that median foot sensitivity scores improved
from 7 to 8. Before the intervention, most foot sensitivity scores were 7,
and after the intervention, they were 8. It can be concluded that a
combination of foot massage and active ROM affected foot sensitivity
among T2DM patients at Mangusada Hospital.
Conclusion: Future studies should incorporate a control group and
randomization to enhance validity.</text>

<text>Introduction: Suboptimal discharge planning is a global issue that
contributes to high patient readmission rates and increases the burden on
healthcare systems. Effective discharge planning is essential to ensure the
continuity of patient care after leaving the hospital, including follow-up
care and maintaining the patient's health status. The purpose of this
literature review is to identify the factors affecting the implementation of
discharge planning by nurses in inpatient wards.
Methods: This study employed a literature review design. Articles were
selected according to the PRISMA guidelines. Inclusion criteria were
established to ensure the selection of eligible articles: publications
between 2017 and 2024, written in English or Indonesian. The literature
review was conducted using three journal databases: ScienceDirect,
PubMed, and Google Scholar. Keywords were adjusted to align with the
Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) terms, including “influencing factors,”
“discharge planning,” “discharge planning implementation by nurses,” and
“hospitalization room.”
Results: A total of 17 articles were reviewed. Overall, eight factors were
identified as influencing the implementation of discharge planning by
nurses in inpatient wards. These factors include knowledge, attitude,
motivation, personnel, involvement and participation, communication,
time, and agreements and consensus.
Conclusion: The factors influencing the implementation of discharge
planning include medical staff, involvement and participation,
communication, time, agreements, consensus, knowledge, attitude, and
motivation. These factors are interconnected and significantly impact the
quality of discharge planning, ultimately affecting patient satisfaction and
health outcomes after discharge.</text>

<text>Introduction: The study explores the connection between anemia in
adolescent girls and the risk of stunting in their future children. To prevent
this, researchers developed the CANTIK program, which combines
acupressure techniques and iron supplementation. The aim is to evaluate
the program's effectiveness in improving hemoglobin levels and
preventing anemia in adolescent girls.
Methods: A pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-post-test design was
conducted to evaluate the effect of acupressure and blood supplement
tablets on hemoglobin levels. The study involved 33 second-year
adolescent girls from SMAN 3 Denpasar, selected through stratified
random sampling from 149. Participants met the criteria of having
menstruation and being healthy. Hemoglobin levels were measured before
and after the one-month intervention using a hemoglobin meter, with
results analyzed using a paired t-test.
Results: The average age of participants was 16, with most having a normal
BMI (54.40%), not being at risk of chronic energy deficiency (72.70%), and
having regular (81.82%) and normal-length periods (93.94%). The study
showed a significant increase in hemoglobin levels from pre-intervention
(Mean = 11.60, SD = 1.27) to post-intervention (Mean = 12.51, SD = 1.11)
with a p-value of 0.001. The mean increase was 0.97, with a 95%
confidence interval. Additionally, compliance with blood supplement
tablet consumption rose from 0% to 97.0% after one month.
Conclusion: Blood supplement tablet consumption and acupressure
significantly increased adolescent girls' hemoglobin levels. Applying
acupressure as a complementary therapy to increase hemoglobin levels is
highly recommended.</text>

<text>Introduction: Osteoarthritis is a common joint disease associated with
aging, with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) affecting both elderly men and
women in Indonesia. KOA is a major cause of disability and immobility,
significantly impacting the quality of life of the elderly. Acupuncture is
frequently used as a complementary and alternative medicine therapy to
alleviate pain associated with KOA. This study aims to investigate the
effect of acupuncture in relieving KOA-related pain in the elderly.
Methods: A pre-experimental study with a one-group pre-post-test design
was conducted, involving 30 elderly respondents from the Payangan Desa
hamlet, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using an
observation sheet and the Comparative Pain Scale to evaluate pain levels.
All respondents provided informed consent before participating in the
study. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to analyze and interpret
the results.
Results: Before the intervention, 9 respondents (30.0%) reported
moderate knee pain, 10 (33.3%) reported severe pain, and 9 (30.0%)
reported very severe pain. After the intervention, pain levels decreased
significantly: 4 respondents (13.3%) reported no pain, 14 (46.7%)
experienced mild pain, and 12 (40.0%) had moderate pain. The change in
pain levels was statistically significant (p < 0.05). The median pain score
decreased from Md = 5.50 before the intervention to Md = 2.00 after, with
a z-value of -4.53 and r = 0.58.
Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy is effective in alleviating pain levels
among elderly individuals suffering from KOA-related pain, with no
observed negative side effects. Acupuncture is a promising, safe, and
effective alternative medicine for elderly patients with KOA.</text>

<text>Introduction: The prevalence of anemia worldwide is very high,
particularly in developing countries, including Indonesia. Adolescent girls
are especially susceptible to anemia, with the monthly menstrual cycle
being one of the contributing factors. This review aims to synthesize data
by analyzing several articles that focus on the prevention of anemia in
adolescent girls using the Lawrence W. Green theory approach.
Methods: The method used for this article is a literature review of articles
published between 2020 and 2024. The sources include Google Scholar,
PubMed, and ScienceDirect, with the keywords "Anemia," "Prevention,"
"Adolescent girls," and "Lawrence W. Green's Theory." After the screening
process, 15 articles were selected for review out of the 883 articles initially
identified.
Results: The findings indicate that individual behaviors vary widely, even
among identical twins. Behavior does not always follow a predictable
pattern, and the development of positive behavior is not solely determined
by knowledge or positive attitudes. According to Lawrence W. Green's
Theory, factors influencing actions or behaviors are classified into three
categories: 1) Predisposing factors, 2) Enabling factors, and 3) Reinforcing
factors.
Conclusion: The prevention of anemia in adolescent girls is influenced by
factors such as knowledge levels, attitudes, peer support, and the
availability of health facilities.</text>

<text>Introduction: Chronic diseases are degenerative conditions that require
long-term treatment. Older adults patients who are unable to care for
themselves independently often rely on assistance from others,
particularly family members, who serve as family caregivers. Stress among
family caregivers is a significant issue encountered when caring for older
adults individuals with chronic diseases. This research aims to analyze the
factors contributing to stress in family caregivers providing care for older
adults people with chronic diseases.
Methods: This study employed a literature review design, analyzing 16
articles published between 2017 and 2024 in either Indonesian or English.
Articles included were complete and relevant to the study objectives. The
PRISMA checklist was utilized to guide the protocol and evaluation
process, ensuring the appropriate selection of studies aligned with the
literature review objectives.
Results: Several factors contribute to stress among family caregivers caring
for older adults individuals with chronic diseases, including (1) age of
family caregiver; (2) sex; (3) Llow levels of education and knowledge can
trigger stress family caregiver; (4) type of work and income level; and (5)
the length of treatment carried out family caregiver also affects the stress
he experiences.
Conclusion: Nurses can play a vital role in supporting family caregivers by
conducting comprehensive assessments, providing individualized support,
teaching stress management techniques, offering caregiver education, and
facilitating respite care.</text>

and reduce the likelihood of patient harm or injury during medical care.
This literature review aims to explore the relationship between the
implementation of a patient safety culture and factors such as work
environment, communication, and teamwork.
Methods: This review was based on an analysis of published articles
presenting findings from previous research. Using the search terms
“patient safety culture” AND “factors” AND “work environment” AND
“communication” AND “teamwork,” articles were retrieved from PubMed,
ScienceDirect, and additional sources in Bahasa. A total of 17 articles met
the inclusion criteria. The analysis employed a critical review approach to
assess the strengths and limitations of the included studies, ensuring a
comprehensive understanding of the current research landscape in this
field.
Results: The primary factors influencing a strong patient safety culture
include teamwork, effective communication between supervisors and
nursing staff as well as between departments, a supportive work
environment, adequate nursing staff, and access to high-quality resources.
Conclusion: Hospital management should prioritize improving patient
safety culture through effective staff training programs, fostering clear and

efficient communication, promoting teamwork, and ensuring a well-
supported work environment.</text>
