In October 2022, BPOM released a public warning after discovering the presence of phenylbutazone and dexamethasone in a muscle pain relief jamu product. The purpose of this research is to establish a valid method for identifying phenylbutazone and dexamethasone in jamu pegal linu. In this study, the method was applied to 10 brands of muscle pain relief jamu samples. The samples were extracted with methanol and then spotted in a quantity of 5 μl on a silica gel 60 F254 plate, eluted with a selected mobile phase, namely ethyl acetate: methanol: ammonia (8.5:1:0.5, v/v/v). Spots were observed with a densitometry at λ240 nm. Phenylbutazone appeared at Rf 0.33, and dexamethasone at Rf 0.77, with a resolution value (Rs) of 5,8. The detection limits for phenylbutazone were 8,5307 μg/ml (0,1706 mg/600 mg capsule) and for dexamethasone, 8,7611 μg/ml (0,1752/600 mg capsule). The results revealed that two samples tested positive for both phenylbutazone and dexamethasone, while six samples tested positive for dexamethasone. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental menggunakan metode difusi sumuran dengan variasi konsentrasi (F1=15%; F2=20%; dan F3=25%). Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah Krim Gentamisin (Bernofarm) dan kontrol negatif yang digunakan adalah basis krim. Parameter yang dievaluasi antara lain diameter zona hambat antibakteri, organoleptik krim, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, tipe krim, daya lekat dan stabilitas krim. Kadar kafein pada kopi digunakan sebagai perangsang otak serta bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi. Fermentasi pada paskapanen kopi bertujuan untuk menguraikan senyawa oleh mikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kadar kafein pada fermentasi kopi arabika desa Pandansari dan pengaruh fermentasi pada kopi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif reagen Parry dan metode kuantitatifnya menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil uji kualitatif positif adanya kafein pada sampel dengan kadar kafein dalam kopi fermentasi pandansari dengan perbedaan waktu fermentasi 1 dan 2 bulan adalah masing-masing 13.4 mg kafein atau 1.347% dan 4.2 mg 0.42%. Fermentasi berpengaruh pada kadar kafein kopi juga cita rasa yang dihasilkan. Pengaruh lain yang menyebabkan penurunan kaar kafein terjadi karena perbedaan varietas, proses paskapanen, suhu sangrai dan metode seduhan. Merkuri menjadi salah satu bahan berbahaya yang sering ditambahkan pada lotion pemutih. Keberadaan logam merkuri (Hg) pada produk lotion pemutih sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya kandungan merkuri pada lotion dengan klaim dosis tinggi yang tidak terdaftar dalam BPOM yang beredar di e-commerce Shopee daerah Jawa Tengah. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan variabel bebas yang diwakili oleh lotion dengan klaim dosis tinggi dan variabel terikat diwakili oleh adanya kandungan merkuri pada sampel. Penelitian ini meliputi beberapa tahapan yaitu pengumpulan sampel, pelaksanaan analisis merkuri dan analisis data dengan pereaksi KI 0,5 N serta NaOH 2 N. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 6 sampel lotion dengan klaim dosis tinggi yang dijual di ecommerce Shopee daerah Jawa Tengah tidak teridentifikasi mengandung merkuri. Hasil pengujian dengan pereaksi warna KI 0,5 N dan NaOH 2 N berbeda dengan baku pembanding. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada kosmetik sediaan lotion dengan klaim dosis tinggi dapat disimpulkan bahwa enam sampel negatif mengandung merkuri.
