<text>Patients with congestive heart failure experience symptoms such as shortness of breath, dry cough, and
swollen legs if there is too much fluid in their bodies. A nursing intervention to reduce shortness of
breath in patients with congestive heart failure is sleep positioning at a 45° incline. This case report
aims to determine the effectiveness of 45° sleeping position therapy in patients with congestive heart
failure and shortness of breath. A female patient (38 years old) was treated with complaints of shortness
of breath and complications of obesity. The nurse implemented a 45° semi-Fowler's position with log
roll technique for 3 days. Positioning at a 45° incline can reduce oxygen consumption, increase
maximum lung expansion, and address impaired gas exchange. The log roll technique is very beneficial
for managing and assisting the mobilization of obese patients. The patient's shortness of breath and
oxygen saturation improved after being positioned in the 45° semi-Fowler's position, also aided by
physiotherapy. The log roll technique should be performed with at least four helpers to minimize the
risk of injury to the helpers. Further research is needed to explore the benefits of the 45° sleeping
position intervention combined with the log roll technique in various cases.

<text>Pain is a perceptual and affective distress linked to the possibility or occurrence of harm to bodily
tissues. When tissues are injured, discomfort might occur, prompting the person to take action to relieve
the suffering. One nursing intervention for pain control is the use of cold compresses. Cold compresses
function by inducing numbness in the afflicted region and impeding the transmission of further signals
via sensory neurons. This technique is a non-drug approach for pain management. The main grievance
expressed by the patient in this case study was cephalalgia. The cold compress intervention was
administered bi-daily for a duration of two days. Each session had a duration of 15 minutes, during
which a towel saturated with cold water was utilized. The intervention yielded results that demonstrated
a disparity in the mean pain levels prior to and following the implementation of the cold compress
intervention, suggesting a reduction in the severity of pain.

purpose of this article is to explore the effectiveness of foot massage on blood pressure in patients with moderate
head injuries and a history of hypertension. The patient is a 34-year-old female with a moderate head injury,
presenting with a headache and an elevated blood pressure of 164/94 mmHg. The patient exhibited apathetic
consciousness, restlessness, and had difficulty understanding language and forming words during
communication. Given the priority of addressing the patient's elevated blood pressure, the author chose foot
massage as an intervention to reduce blood pressure. The intervention involved a 20-minute foot massage, which
resulted in a decrease in the patient's blood pressure by 10-20 mmHg. The patient's response to the foot massage
was very positive; she became relaxed, more comfortable, and even fell asleep, snoring. Foot massage proved to
be very effective in reducing blood pressure, suggesting that it could be a valuable complementary therapy option
for managing blood pressure in patients with head injuries.

<text>Edema is a condition where veins become congested. Edema occurs due to an increase in intravascular
hydrostatic pressure, which is the pressure that drives blood flow within the vessels due to the heart's
pumping action, causing plasma fluid to seep into the interstitial space. One of the nursing interventions
for managing edema is leg elevation to improve venous and lymphatic flow from the legs. Elevating the
legs to 30° is an effective technique to reduce swelling by enhancing lymphatic fluid drainage and
decreasing capillary fluid distribution in patients with Congestive Heart Failure and edema.

or heavy sensation in the retrosternal area, which may radiate to the left arm, neck, jaw, interscapular
area, shoulder, or epigastrium. Non-pharmacological pain management for ACS patients can include
aromatherapy. This case report aims to illustrate the application of aromatherapy in a patient with
Unstable Angina Pectoris (UAP). The patient is a 56-year-old female nurse who presented with
complaints of left-sided chest pain, described as heavy and tight, with a pain scale rating of four.
Aromatherapy was administered three times, each session lasting 30 minutes. The patient chose jasmine
essential oil, based on her preference. Aromatherapy is particularly effective for mild pain and can be
beneficial for patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris or other forms of Acute Coronary Syndrome. The
use of aromatherapy promotes relaxation, resulting in a calmer state and a reduction in the patient's
perceived pain. Further research is needed on the use of aromatherapy for ACS, particularly
concerning sleep disturbances and anxiety. Nurses can administer aromatherapy as a complementary
therapy to support overall patient care.

<text>Head injuries are one of the leading causes of death globally. Each year, 1.2 million people die due to
head injuries. Patients with head injuries experience headaches, ineffective breathing patterns, and
potential ineffective cerebral perfusion. The management of mild head injuries can be pharmacological,
using medications, and non-pharmacological. One intervention that can be used to control hypertension
is acupressure therapy, which is beneficial in reducing pain. A 22-year-old patient, a university student,
reported complaints of headaches with a blood pressure (BP) of 110/90 mmHg, a pulse of 95 beats per
minute, respiratory rate (RR) of 22 breaths per minute, SpO2 of 97%, and a pain scale of 5. Acupressure
intervention was performed twice, each session lasting 20 minutes, by applying pressure to specific
points to reduce pain. This acupressure therapy is particularly effective for mild pain, especially in
patients with mild head injuries or other head injury patients. Observations before and after the
acupressure therapy showed a reduction in the pain scale from 5 to 2. It can be concluded that
acupressure therapy increases relaxation in patients, making them calmer and reducing the pain they
experienced.

<text>Critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are mostly dying,
experiencing multi-organ failure, using ventilators and requiring technological support.
One of the important things that must be considered is the fulfillment of nutritional needs
to release ventilator dependence, accelerate healing and shorten the length of
hospitalization. The Gravity Drip method is a method of providing enteral nutrition with
the help of gravity carried out above the height of the stomach with the speed of
administration determined by gravity. Gravity Drip is a method of providing enteral
nutrition with a syringe connected to the gastric tube at a speed following the force of
gravity given 4-6 times a day for 5-10 minutes. Performed to the patient attached ETT and
Ventilator mode ASV100 PEEP 5 fiO2 50% VTE428 and NGT size 16. The results of
monitoring the volume of gastric residues before and after enteral nutrition obtained an
average of 3-3.8 ml of gastric residues. This enteral nutrition with the gravity drip method
in combination with head up 30o can be a reference in fulfilling nutrients and can reduce
gastric residual volume and prevent the risk of aspiration in critical patients, especially
those installed on ventilators.

<text>The postpartum period (Post Partum) is the period that begins after the birth of the placenta and ends
when the uterus returns to its normal state before pregnancy, which lasts for 6 weeks or 42 days.
Postpartum mothers can experience stress for several reasons, one of which is a lack of sufficient
preparation or experience, triggering an increase in the hormone cortisol and a decrease in the
hormone oxytocin which makes the mother unable to breastfeed her child enough. The intervention
carried out was oxytocin massage. This phenomenon motivated writer to conduct research related to
the application of oxytocin massage to the smooth flow of breast milk with the problem of ineffective
breastfeeding nursing in post partum mothers. This case study aims to implement oxytocin massage
nursing care for the problem of ineffective breastfeeding nursing in post partum patients. The method
in this case use a cause report. The subjects used were patients with ineffective breastfeeding problem
post partum using oxytocin massage intervention. Breast milk can come out in both of the mother’s but
it appears that more milk comes out in the right side of the breast. The actual outcome that has been
achieved from the intervention carried out is that breast milk can come out. Attention for midwives and
nurses to carry out oxytocin massage on post partum patients who have ineffective breastfeeding
problems so that it can provide benefits for patients being treated to overcome these problems.

<text>Background: Diarrheal disease is a global problem throughout the world and is both endemic and
epidemic. One of the factors that influence the occurrence of diarrhea is cage sanitation. In Kalakijo
Hamlet, Guwosari, Pajangan, and Bantul, as many as 42 people manage the cage with the distance
between the cage and the house less than 5 meters. The behavior of the cage manager's hand washing
is still not appropriate even though the socialization has been given by the Puskesmas. Objective: The
purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the sanitary condition of the cage and the
behavior of preventing diarrheal disease in Kalakijo Hamlet, Guwosari, Pajangan, and Bantul.
Method: The research design uses quantitative correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The
research population is the entire family that has livestock pens with a total sampling technique with a
total of 42 respondents with a measuring tool in the form of a questionnaire. Finding: The results of the
chi-square test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), so there was a significant relationship between the
sanitation conditions of the cage and the behavior of preventing diarrheal disease of the cage manager.
The contingency coefficient value is 0.665 which means it has a strong close relationship. Conclusion:
There is no relationship between the sanitary condition of the cage and the behavior of preventing
diarrheal disease. Suggestion: It is hoped that the next researcher is to examine the factors that
influence diarrhea prevention behavior in people who have livestock pens.

<text>Background: Diabetic ulcers are one of the various chronic complications caused by Diabetes Mellitus.
Management of ineffective peripheral perfusion, apart from pharmacology, can also be overcome with
non-pharmacological measures, namely by implementing physical exercises with diabetic foot
exercises. Objective: to be able to apply physical exercises for diabetic foot exercises to overcome the
problem of ineffective peripheral perfusion in patients with diabetes mellitus in 2023. Method: the
method used is a case study. Respondent: patients with diabetes who experience problems with
ineffective peripheral perfusion. Results: After implementing it twice for 2 days with an exercise
duration of 30 minutes, the problem of ineffective peripheral tissue perfusion nursing was only partially
resolved, because the wound condition had not shown improvement, this required a long time to carry
out further observations and analysis. Conclusion: Diabetic foot exercises help blood circulation in the
peripheral area, as evidenced by the reduction in patient complaints related to diabetic neuropathy.
Suggestion: Patients who adhere to diabetic foot exercises regularly every day will help wounds heal
faster than expected.
