horons that can stimulate sleep and reduce the hormone cartisol. The research design used is descriptive
quantitative with a case study design with a case study approach through the butterfly hug action by asking
the patient to cross their arms in the form of hugging the patient's upper arm asking the patient to suggest
thoughts by emptying the mind and imagining a preferred place then doing deep breathing techniques and
patting the upper arm with a slow tempo repeat until the patient falls asleep. The result of the intervention
was a decreased sleep pattern disorder with the patient lying down from 20-30 minutes to 5 minutes carried
out for three days. Advice for nurses is that this intervention can be a non-pharmacological alternative to
reduce sleep disturbances in anaemic patients.

<text>Introduction: Patients depend on long-term hemodialysis therapy and restriction of fluid intake so that they often
lose their enthusiasm for life and affect their quality of life. Phenomenon at the research site, there are still many
patients who say that they are reluctant to participate in social activities because they are tired, do not want to
bother others, experience physical changes, social, environmental and psychological changes and find it difficult
to accept their disease conditions, fear death, anxiety, easily give up on disease. and do not perform routine
maintenance. Objective: To determine the relationship between self-compassion and quality of life of hemodialysis
patients. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional correlation design. The sampling
technique used purposive sampling with a total sample of 85 patients. Data analysis using analysis univariate
and bivariate with spearman rank. Results: The results showed that most of the self-compassion was in the
moderate category as many as 71.8% of respondents and most of the quality of life was in the good category as
many as 72.9% of respondents with a p value of 0.000 (<0.05)
Conclusion: There is the relationship of self-compassion with the quality of life of hemodialysis patients.
Suggestion: For Researchers Furthermore, it is recommended to conduct research with qualitative methods so
that they can express in depth about self-compassion in helping to overcome quality of life problems from the
patient's point of view.

<text>Background: Chronic kidney failure or chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a problem faced
globally. According to a report from the united stases renal disease data system (USRDS),
the prevalence of chronic kidney failure increases by 20-25% every year, with around
100,000 new patients every year (Septiyanti, 2021). Pruritus is one of the forms of
discomfort experienced by GGK patients due to uremic toxins (Asri & Zuryati, 2018).
Petroleum jelly is considered an emollient and occlusion ointment that softens and
smoothes the skin, helps to replace the oil that prevents transdermal water loss (TEWL)
from the skin, making it ideal for dry skin. Main Symptoms: Patients with chronic kidney
failure experience complications, namely uremic pruritus which appears due to urea
buildup and fluid withdrawal during hamodialysis. Terpeutik Intervention: Giving
petroleum jelly for 8 days with application which is done 2 times a day in the morning and
evening after taking a shower. Conclusion: Petroleum jelly is able to lower the pruritus
scale in chronic kidney failure patients who undergo hemodylysis.

selama hidupnya. Perubahan jumlah individu kedua populasi ditinjau mengikuti proses Markov waktu
diskrit atau disebut Discrete Time Markov Chain Susceptible Infected Recovered-Susceptible Infected
(DTMC SIR-SI).
pemulihan individu terinfeksi.

stokastik Continuous Time Markov Chain Susceptible Vaccinated Exposed Infected Recovered (CTMC

kelompok: rentan, divaksinasi, terpapar, terinfeksi, dan sembuh. Model CTMC SVEIR
merepresentasikan probabilitas transisi individu antar kelompok dengan mempertimbangkan parameter
seperti laju penularan, laju vaksinasi, tingkat kegagalan vaksinasi, serta laju kesembuhan. Simulasi
Sementara semakin tinggi laju vaksinasi,
jumlah individu terinfeksi cenderung lebih sedikit. Model ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang
pentingnya efektivitas vaksinasi dalam mengendalikan penyebaran cacar air.

<text>Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that can attack human white blood cells, thus reducing
the immune system, and making sufferers susceptible to infection. Decreased immunity due to HIV can
cause a collection of symptoms of the disease, commonly called Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome
(AIDS). Until now, no cure has been found for HIV/AIDS, but there is type of drug that can be used to
slow the development of the virus, namely antiretroviral (ARV). The purpose of this article is to model
the spread of HIV/AIDS using Discrete Time Markov Chain (DTMC) SIA (Susceptible-Infected-AIDS)
and SIAT (Susceptible-Infected-AIDS-Treatment) and then compare the two models through
simulation. The parameters used are rate of HIV transmission (β), rate of AIDS progression (δ), rate
of HIV treatment (α1), and rate of AIDS treatment (α2). The data used for calculating parameter
estimates are from Ministry of Health for cases 2014-2023. Simulations on the DTMC SIA epidemic
model show that the number of HIV individuals has decreased, while the number of AIDS individuals
has increased, reaching its peak with 24 individuals infected AIDS at t=1000. In contrast, DTMC SIAT
epidemic model with ARV shows that the number of HIV/AIDS individuals has decreased, while the
number of individuals receiving treatment has increased.

<text>Stroke is the leading cause of disability and death worldwide, which occurs when blood vessels that
supply oxygen and nutrients to the brain are blocked or ruptured. One of the main challenges for stroke
patients is the inability to perform self-care, which is caused by weakness in the extremities and
decreased mobility function, disrupting daily activities. The family system is an important factor in
meeting the self-care needs of stroke patients. Family support can be in the form of family attitudes and
involvement towards sick members through attention, emotions and assessment in interpersonal
relationships. The research method uses a correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The
research sample was 57 outpatient stroke patients who were taken using a purposive sampling
technique. The measuring instrument used was the family support questionnaire and the Barthel index
checklist. The results of the statistical test using chi-square showed that the p value = 0.036, which
means there is a significant relationship between family support and self-care in stroke patients at the
Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan in 2024. Family members should actively participate in accompanying,
training and motivating stroke patients in improving self-care. Further researchers are expected to
educate patients and their families in implementing a healthy lifestyle to prevent recurrent stroke
attacks.
