Introduction: ARI is a respiratory disease with indications and symptoms of cough, runny nose,
hoarseness, heat or fever and lasts for 14 days. One of the health problems that often occurs in

children is the common cold or cough and cold. The management carried out is non-
pharmacological therapy using common cold massage. Method: Case report on the management

of nursing care by applying common cold massage to patients with airway clearance nursing
problems. Results and discussion: Main Symptoms: Symptoms of cough, runny nose, hoarseness,
heat or fever and last for 14 days. During 3 meetings, it showed that the results obtained on the
first day before the common cold massage SPO2 were 94%, after the common cold massage the
SPO2 was 96%, on the second day SPO2: 98%, on the third day SPO2: 100%. Conclusion: From
the results of common cold massage, there was an increase in mothers' knowledge after being
given information about common cold massage. And the results obtained were an increase in
SPO2 in children with a difference or difference in the average SPO2 from days 1 to 3, namely
4% and the release of retained secretions. Suggestion: Applying common cold massage is an
alternative for handling airway clearance nursing problems.
