Subject
preeclampsia; maternal; mortality; age; gravida
Description
Maternal mortality was relatively high. This is one of the indicators of women's health. Brebes Regency first ranked with the highest Maternal Mortality Rate in Central Java. The highest cause of maternal death in Brebes Regency is hypertension in pregnancy, cases of hypertension in pregnancy that are often found in Brebes Hospital are severe preeclampsia. Although the cause of preeclampsia is not yet known with certainty, there are several possible risk factors for mothers experiencing preeclampsia including age and parity factors that are risk factors that cannot be modified. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship of age and status of maternal gravida with the incidence of severe preeclampsia at Brebes Hospital. This type of research was quantitative with retrospective study, research conducted at Brebes Hospital using documentation studies. The sample count was 60 cases and 60 controls with a ratio of 1:1. Data were processed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The results found 19 maternity mothers (31.7%) with severe preeclampsia were at vulnerable age at risk. Test results of analysis between ages and the incidence of severe preeclampsia get a value of p-Value = 0.000, and gravida status with preeclampsia get pValue = 0.152. Conclusion: There is a meaningful relationship between maternal age and the incidence of severe preeclampsia and no relation
between gravida status and the incidence of severe preeclampsia at Brebes Hospital
between gravida status and the incidence of severe preeclampsia at Brebes Hospital
