Description

Stres ibu yang memiliki anak cerebral palsy diakibatkan oleh adanya pikiran negatif terhadap suatu peristiwa sehingga mempengaruhi kesehatan fisik, emosi, dan perilaku sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi thought stopping untuk menurunkan stres ibu yang memiliki anak cerebral palsy. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian pre experimental design dengan pendekatan one group pre-test and post-test design. Sampel penelitian
berjumlah 18 orang responden dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu skala stres Parenting Stress Index–short form (PSI-SF). Terapi thought stopping dilakukan 3 kali pertemuan selama 1 minggu. Setiap pertemuan 30-45 menit disesuaikan dengan ketersediaan waktu subjek. Hasil penelitian menyatakan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara skor stres pada ibu sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 atau p-value< dari 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan terapi thought stopping dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan stres pada ibu yang memiliki anak cerebral palsy.
Parental stress in mothers of children with cerebral palsy is caused by negative thoughts about certain circumstance that affects physical, emotional, and social behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of thought stopping therapy to reduce the levelof depression in mothers ofchildren with cerebral palsy.This study used quantitative research with pre-experimental design with approach of one group pre-test andpost-test design. The research samples consisted of 18 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was the stress scale Parenting Stress Index- short form (PSI-SF). Thought Stopping Theraphy was conducted 3 times a week. Each 30-45 minute meeting was adjusted to the subject's time availability. The result was that there is significant difference between stress score on
mother before and after being given the intervention with value significant 0,000 or p- value q of 0 ,05 . The results of this study indicates that thought stopping therapy can be used to reducethe level of stressexperienced by mothers of children with cerebral palsy.
