Description
Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) adalah kegiatan kurikuler bagi mahasiswa program studi non kependidikan di FMIPA-UNNES. Sejak 2017, manajemen PKL mulai menggunakan sistem on-
line berbasis web, yang dikenal dengan SimPKL. Saat ini, SimPKL masih terbatas untuk koordinasi internal antara fakultas, program studi dan mahasiswa, terutama melayani persiapan administrasi dan proses pelaksanaan di lapangan. Penilaian kinerja mahasiswa masih menggunakan lembar nilai yang dikirim pembimbing lapangan di akhir kegiatan. Dua aspek penting yang belum terakomodasi dalam simPKL adalah penilaian online oleh pembimbing lapangan, dan umpan balik mitra terkait efektivitas simPKL,kualitas mahasiswa dan institusi.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sistem online SimPKL, serta memperoleh umpan balik dari mitra. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan sederhana, yaitu mengembangkan menu simPKL yang bisa diakses mitra. Selanjutnya, link yang dikembangkan langsung diterapkan kepada mahasiswa yang sedang dalam proses menyelesaikan PKL antara bulan Juni – Agustus 2020. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan simPKL yang dikembangkan memberikan dua kesimpulan. (1) Penilaian kinerja mahasiswa oleh pihak mitra lebih efisien dan terjamin kerahasiaannya. Lembar penilaian tidak diberikan kepada mahasiswa , melainkan dikirim melalui sistem simPKL. (2) Setiap program studi dapat mengevaluasi umpan balik dari mitra, dan hasilnya dapat digunakan untuk perbaikan dalam mempersiapkan
ketrampilan mahasiswa.
Practical Field Study (PKL) are curricular activities for non-educational students at FMIPA-UNNES. Since 2017, PKL management has using an on-line system, known as SimPKL.
Currently, SimPKL is still limited for internal coordination between faculties, study programs and students, especially serving administrative preparation and implementation processes in the
field. Student performance appraisals are still using the assessment sheet that will be sent by the supervisor, at the end of the activity. Two important aspects that have not been accommodated in simPKL were online assessments by field supervisors and feedback from partners. Feedback was related to the effectiveness of simPKL, the quality of students and institutions.The purpose of this research was to develop the SimPKL online system, and to get feedback from partners. The research method using a simple approach, namely developing simPKL menu that could be accessed by partners. Furthermore, the link developed was directly applied to students, where they were in the process of completing PKL between June - August 2020.. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the simPKL developed gave two conclusions. (1) Assessment of student performance by partners is more efficient and confidentiality is guaranteed. Assessment sheets are not given to students, but are sent through the simPKL system. (2) Each study program can evaluate feedback from partners, and the results can be used for improvement in preparing student skills.
