Description
Billboards are one of the most widely used advertising media in delivering and providing information in the form of goods or services. In use, the billboard becomes an effective tool for providing information, this is due to the position or location of the billboard which is in a place where many people, both pedestrians and motorized vehicles, pass through. Along with its use, not a few news were found that accidents were caused by billboards either due to the weather or poorly maintained billboards. Billboards or other advertising media can also be said to be visual waste, because they make the city's structure not good even though the advertising media has received permission from the government. To overcome this, a system was created in which this system utilizes augmented reality (AR) as a substitute medium for billboards. Augmented reality is a medium that combines the real world with the virtual world. By using the location based service (LBS) method, which is one of the markerless technologies applied to AR. LBS uses the coordinates in the database to be able to display advertisements to the user's mobile device. Uusing AR and utilizing this LBS, the use of billboards will be reduced or Because the billboard is only replaced by mobile media but its function will remain the same, as a medium for conveying information. Moreover, the replacement of this advertising method can help the government in implementing 4.0 industry in this country.
