Description
Stunting in toddlers is part of non-communicable disease that the incidence increases during the pandemic covid 19, because the income of parent’s toddlers has decreased. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between parental income and height of stunting toddler. Research method : quantitative correlation with cross-sectional approach. Population : all stunting toddlers in the Bandengan village, Kendal district. Sample of research is 74 children under five years old, taking total population data with criteria is data completed and
parents are willing. The tool used in this research is a questionnaire to determine the income of parent based on UMR and the height of toddler is measured using a stunting mat and microtoice with the category of toddler height. The result : there is no correlation between parent’s income and height in children under five years old with stunting, p value is 0,179 > 0,05. Factors under year’s height, apart from being influenced by parental income, are parents’s height, nutritional intake and history of illness. Suggestions for further research to pay attention to other factors and compare with toddlers who are not stunted.
