Preparedness, focused on planning, training, and research, is one of the primary stages of the disaster management cycle. Accordingly, this study was conducted to determine the level of awareness in nursing managers and the preparedness of hospitals for disasters in the hospitals of Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province.
Description
his cross-sectional study was conducted in 2023, with a total of 167 Nursing Managers in Sanandaj selected as the research sample using a census approach. Data were collected using a demographic information form, WHO Hospital Emergency Response Checklist, and managers’ emergency awareness questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-square tests, Fisher’s exact test, independent t-tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson correlation. Data analysis was performed using SPSS v26 (P < 0.05).
