Description
Background: Elderly Posyandu is a health service program to monitor the health of the elderly. The
condition of the elderly who are getting older and decreasing physiological, physical and psychological
functions require support from the family. Research objective: to determine family support for the elderly
in participating in the elderly Posyandu at Harapan Health Care Center. Method: This type of research is
a quantitative descriptive conducted in June 2023. The population is the elderly with a totalsample of 30
people by means of purposive sampling. Data were obtained using a questionnaire and analyzed
univariately. Results: Family support for the elderly in participating in elderly Posyandu activities supports
as many as 28 people (93.3%) and less supports as many as 2 people (6.7%). This shows that most families
provide support to the elderly in participating in elderly posyandu activities. Conclusion: Families support
the elderly to join the elderly posyandu at the Harapan Health Care Center.
