Description

Background: A fracture or broken bone is a break in the continuity of bone and cartilage caused by trauma or
physical force. The 2018 Basic Health Research found that there were 45,987 falls involving 1,775 people (3.8%).
The nursing problem that commonly arises in fracture patients is acute pain. Patients with fractures require
comprehensive nursing care for the healing process. Objective: To find out how to describe nursing care for fracture
patients at Yogyakarta Private Hospital. Method: This research uses a case report method. Research Results: Based
on the results of the nursing assessment and diagnosis between the data obtained and the supporting theory, no gaps
were found and they were interrelated; Nursing interventions are guided by SIKI; The implementation of nursing
provided to clients is in accordance with the interventions that have been made by researchers; Nursing evaluation
carried out for 2 days, showed that further treatment was still needed. Conclusion: The results of the nursing care
process for patients with fractures require ongoing care to be able to show significant changes related to nursing
problems. Suggestion: Future researchers are expected to continue research on the effectiveness of SIKI-based
nursing care in treating patients with fractures.
