Subject
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Hypervolemia.
Description
Introduction: Chronic renal failure (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible decline in
kidney function, causing accumulation of urea and creatinine and a decrease in GFR to
around 60 ml/minute/1.73 m2. Objective: Able to carry out comprehensive nursing care for
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients with hypervolemia nursing problems at the
Yogyakarta Regional Private Hospital. Method: This case study is a case report taken
through a series of nursing processes in the form of assessment, formulating nursing
problems, planning interventions, implementing interventions and finally carrying out
nursing assessments. Results: Researchers show that hypertension and diabetes are the
main causes of CKD. Case studies explain that patients with CKD usually experience
swelling or edema and the nursing problem of hypervolemia. Conclusion: After providing
nursing intervention, for this diagnosis, the author has provided intervention by educating
patients and families about CKD, fluid restrictions and diet for CKD sufferers. With the
results of the evaluation, patients and families have understood and demonstrated CKD,
fluid restrictions and the diet of CKD sufferers.
