Tuberculosis patients need nutritional intake that must meet high protein content to increase their body's resistance from other chronic infections as a result of their illness. Nutrient intake derived from animal protein,
particularly freshwater fish is highly recommended. An oreochromis mossambicus fish is as one of frehwater fish that is recommended for consumption. The purpose of this article review is to describe the protein content in oreochromis mossambicus fish which is good for supporting the healing process and strengthening the body's resistance of tuberculosis patients. The method used is through the journal data base that comes from doaj.org, Researchgate.net and Google scholar. Furthermore, the benefits of consuming oreochromis mossambicus fish, both processed directly and those that have been extracted, will be identified and described in the writing of this article review. The tuberculosis patients who are given oreochromis mossambicus fish or its extract is believed to improve the body's immune system. Thus, it is highly recommended for the patient's family as a support system for patients to serve a menu of foods that contain high protein originating from types of fish, especially oreochromis mossambicus fish.
