QUALITY OF LIFE PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDER IN COMMUNITY

People with mental disorder has many challenge in living in community. Despite their mental health condition and social stigma, they have to maintain their own quality of life. The descriptive study was conducted on 48 participants with age between 19-68 years old. Data collection using a WHO-QoL questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out descriptively with frequency distribution. The results showed that most of participants were male (60%) and middle adult with 20-50 years old (70%). The quality of life of people with mental disorder consisted of physical with mean 70,05; psychological with mean 48.90; social relationship with mean 79,45 and environment with mean 80.59 Intervention is needed to increase the quality of life among people with mental disorder in community.
