Description
The main focus of BPJS is to improve access to and quality of health services through a coordinated
and efficient approach. Monitoring the implementation of BPJS services needs to be carried out to
ensure their accessibility and usefulness for the community. BPJS services, especially the proper
referral system, are expected to be a solution to improve the level of public health. Referral systems that
are not in accordance with the flow, not in accordance with the level of health services, and mismatches
in disease diagnosis are some of the problems that occur in the BPJS referral system. The referral system
in private clinics needs to be reviewed and evaluated periodically. This study aims to determine the
implementation of the BPJS patient referral system. A quantitative descriptive design with 32 outpatients
at Winongsari Kaliwiro Wonosobo Primary Clinic, applied by accidental sampling, was carried out in
this study. The instrument used was a questionnaire prepared by the researcher, which had been tested
for validity and reliability. The data analysis used was univariate. The results of the analysis showed
that the majority of respondents were aged 46–65 years (81.24%), male (56.25%), and had elementary
and high school education with a percentage of 34.38%. Most respondents were diagnosed with diabetes
mellitus (15.7%), with the results of the implementation of the referral system in the good category
(100%). This study concludes that the BPJS patient referral system at the Winongsari Kaliwiro
Wonosobo Primary Clinic is in the good category. It is necessary to develop an information system that
facilitates and evaluates the BPJS referral system and to conduct continuous monitoring and evaluation
to detect referral problems early and provide the best solution for patients.
