Subject
Triage - ATS
Description
Background: ATS is one of numerous triage systems that gauge clinical urgency to ensure that a
patient is seen when it is most urgent. More than 50% of Indonesian medical professionals still use
ATS, and reaction times are not suitable, and medical staff occasionally struggles to manage
recently admitted patients. At private hospital in Banjarnegara, the ATS implementation is still not
operating well, and some nurses continue to admit new patients without following the SOP's ATS
category. Objective: Identifying the characteristics of respondents and describing the
implementation of ATS on medical and paramedical staff in the Emergency Room of private
hospital in Banjarnegara. Methods: The descriptive quantitative design with a cross sectional
approach. The population amounted to 40 people. The sampling technique used a total population
with a sample size of 40 people. Data collection was done by observation. The data analysis used
descriptive analysis with computerization. Results: The result showed that most of the respondents
were 25-35 years old (60%), female (55%), educated with Diploma 3 (77.5%), had a working
period of ≥ 6 years (90%), all respondents participated in training (100%) and the implementation
of ATS was good (100%). Conclusion: The implementation of ATS on medical and paramedical
staff in the emergency room of private hospital in Banjarnegara were classified as good.
Suggestion: Further researchers are recommended to examine the factors that influence the
implementation of the ATS in the emergency department.
