Hospitals are required to provide excellent service, including patient safety, which determines the
quality of the hospital. Healthcare providers, especially nurses, are expected to be competent in
implementing a patient safety culture to prevent the occurrence of adverse events. The implementation
of patient safety goals needs to be evaluated periodically. This study aims to determine how to evaluate
the implementation of patient safety goals in Type C private hospitals in Semarang. This study was used
a quantitative descriptive design that describes the evaluation of the implementation of patient safety
goals in Type C private hospitals in Semarang in 2023. The sample size was 42 associate nurses used
random sampling techniques. The instrument used was the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture
observation sheet. The data were analyzed with univariate. This study describe the implementation of
patient safety goals mostly in the good category, namely 25 respondents (59.5%), 15 (35.7%) in the
moderate category, and 2 (4.8%) in the poor category. The hospital accreditation rating system that
contains the implementation of patient safety goals encourages nurses to carry out nursing care services
according to patient safety standards. Hospital policies, monitoring, and evaluation that have been
carried out motivate nurses to obey the procedures for implementing nursing actions. The evaluation of
the implementation of patient safety goals in Semarang Type C hospitals is mostly in the good category.
It is necessary to improve the practice of patient safety culture of nurses.
