Background : Malaria prevalence in Indonesia according to Riskesdas 2018 in part big
Malaria incidence is in parts of Indonesia east from 34 Provinces there is seven Province
with prevalence and incidence highest are Papua 12.07%, West Papua 8.64%, East Nusa
Tenggara (NTT) 1.99%, Bengkulu 1.54%, North Maluku 1.36%, Maluku 1.21%, Bangka
Belitung 1.07 %. Purpose: For know behavior preventing malaria in children Primary
School in the District Kanatang East Sumba Regency in 2024. Method: Design used in study
This is descriptive quantitative . Population in study This is every students who are active at
one of State Elementary School Class IV and V District Kanatang East Sumba Regency 2024
as many as 52 respondents with tool measuring questionnaire. Result of results study against
52 respondents at most many types 27 people (52%) were women , 25 men (48%). Based on
most ages namely 11-12 years as many as 32 people (61.6%), 9-10 years as many as 20
people (38.4%). And Behavior positive as many as 50 people (96%), negative behavior as
many as 2 people (4%). Conclusion: S e part big student behaved female students positive as
many as 50 people (96%). Suggestion : For study furthermore expected For increase
promotion health about behavior malaria prevention .
