PENGARUH EDUKASI MENGGUNAKAN VIDEO ANIMASI PADA KENAIKAN INTERDIALYTIC WEIGHT GAIN PASIEN HEMODIALISIS
Subject
IDWG ; education; animated video
Description
Introduction: Eighty percent of hemodialysis patients in private hospitals in the area of interdialytic
weight gain increase > 3%, patients have difficulty limiting fluid intake, but do not get proper
education. Research Objectives: The researcher found out the effect of education using animated
videos on interdialysis weight gain in dialysis patients in the hemodialysis room of a private hospital
in Klampok Banjarnegara. Research Method: The design of this study is quantitative with the pre-
experimental one group pre-post test design method. The population was routine hemodialysis
patients at a private hospital in Klampok, the sampling technique used purposive sampling, and 17
respondents were obtained, the measuring tool used was an observation sheet giving animated videos
and body scales. The research already has a letter of ethical worthiness. Results: The results of the
Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test were obtained with a value of Z =-3.624b, Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)= 0.000
which means that there is an effect between liquid education using animated videos on the increase in
interdialytic weight gain. All respondents experienced a decrease in IDWG after receiving education.
The majority of respondents (35.3%) were aged 20-30 years, 64.7% were male, 52.9% were working,
35.3% had elementary education, 100% interdialytic weight gain in the weight category, and 41.2%
had HD > 60 months. Conclusion: there was an effect between fluid education using animated videos
on the increase in interdialytic weight gain in patients with chronic kidney failure at a private
hospital in Klampok with the largest decrease in IDWG which was 4.9%. Suggestion: Hemodialysis
nurses need to pay attention to the fluid management of hemodialysis patients and provide education,
one of which is through animated videos.
