Description
Oolong tea with manganese content of 0.90 mg with a volume of 400 ml was used as an alternative to natural negative oral contrast medium in MRCP examination, and the best scanning start time was 15 minutes post-contrast natural negative oral natural oolong tea. Giving the volume of tea liquid around 300 ml - 500 ml becomes a separate obstacle in the process of giving it, because it's too much for a one-time serving. This research is an experimental study which includes the collection and preparation of plant materials, sample identification, sample processing,
extract making, extract characterization, oolong tea leaf ethanol extract, then AAS testing was carried out. The results of Mn levels in oolong tea solution using the boil method with water solvent 0.0094 mg/L, ethanol by maceration method 0.123 mg/L, aquades by maceration method 0.082 mg/L, ethanol by ultaturax method 0.370 mg/L, and manufactured tea 0.140 mg/L. From these results the use of ethanol can produce higher levels of manganese, but when MRCP is carried out only with the use of aquades/water which can produce suppression of the MRI image.
